Re: S7R Forza 4 F-Class Tourney - Season 1
OK, So I talked to Puppet last night and we decided that the best thing to do is go ahead and push it up to the 19th. This means he will have to miss the opening Tourney but we think it is best in the long run due to Wiggles schedule. Props to Puppet for taking one for the team. So to recap...

No secret here, using the Elan. Got a few other tuned but I just enjoy driving this one. Bit sketchy handling for my liking but I might be able to tune some of that out.

I might see about switching my schedule around but I'm pretty sure that I'll miss the tourney. Wiggles you better win this d@mn thing and heaven help you if something comes up in RL for you that you can't make it. Good luck to everyone.

Wiggles least likely, but most viable excuse: Going to have sex finally, gotta miss the tourney.

You can get that down to F-class? Or is there another DLC version?

It's the lotus élan sprint, and yes it the regular one and can be tuned to f class. Pretty good short-mid track car.

Hmmm, I'm considering the Rabbit or the Delorean. Not really checked how well they tune yet though. I raced the rabbit in the first ever Forza tourney, so if it's decent it'd be nice to use that. I'll probably need a 'fast' car too though for the tracks with long straights and slow corners.

The rabbit races great stock, I considered tuning one for this or e class.

I raced a Delorean a bit when I was doing the career and the car was ok. I'm not the best tuner though, so some of you mad scientists might be able to really ramp it up.

I have a Peugeot 107 and Ford Pinto that I am currently working on. The 107 is a solid short track car and pretty good all around due to excellent handling and feel. But don't count out the Pinto LOL! It's actually not bad (never thought I'd say that LOL). With a little work I think it could be a contender.

How does the 107 compare to the rabbit?
Is there a stand-out leader board car for F-class that we should be staying away from....if that even exists at F-class, lol.

I have not tried the rabbit yet so I don't know. And yes, the Chevy Spark is the far and away leaderboard car. Negitive cool points for showing up in a Chevy Spark

Ewwww, what a horrible leader board car.
I noticed that the Suzuki Liana(?), the old Top Gear car was in F-Class, so I might give that a look as well.

Yah, I already tried that though and I'm not too keen on the handling with it.

Well after some racing last night I have narrowed it down to the 107 and the Elan as my two main cars and the Pinto for kicks. I think the Elan will be my main car for this one.

How's the Elan in terms of speed? It's a Lotus so I'm guessing it handles pretty decent. So, I might consider it myself.

Honestly, it requires a bit of finesse to drive. It is normally an E-Class so you have to add some aero and weight to get it down to the F-Class. This unfortunately means that you have to use the stock transmission, tires and suspension. The result is a car that is pretty quick off the line, decent top end for the class (mine is 116) but not very stable. There is a lot of body roll and a bit of oversteer if you get aggressive in the corners. Stock tires means you have to be careful about losing speed when you lose traction too. And the stock transmission is garbage in 3rd and 4th (top) gear. Having said that, if you finesse it just right, it is fun to drive and fast around the track.

Re: S7R Forza 4 F-Class Tourney - Season 1
Hmmmm, not sure it's my type of car then. I'll probably give it a try along with the others and see which gives me the most consistent lap times, that what I usually do.
I think I'm capable of the finesse but ultimately, I like to have a fairly 'solid' car so there's room to really push it when I need to overtake/hold a position.
Really looking forward to this tourney though. We've only seen what people can do in the same cars. It's going to be interesting to see how things line up when people have cars to suit their driving style.

Probably Glock threading dat needle.
Who was it at the last race that just ploughed straight through the first corner 'cos he couldn't see it? Coolhand? That was hilarious.
Hope we can get a game of soccer in afterwards. Be cool to get a 4v4 or 5v5, maybe use our F-class cars...

I just hope I don't get any of those mega-lag spikes that slingshot my car in to oblivion.
