Apex R3 Open Track Night - June 20th

Howdy all.

Outside of the tournaments hosted by S7 masters, I'm going to host Wednesday night Apex track nights. It will be open to the public and I'll kick off the room with racing on tracks suggested in the current tournament's track selections. It will be a room where we can practice racing our builds in traffic with all the normal bells/whistles of our tournament races. Full damage/contact will be enabled of course.

Wednesday (June 20th) at 8pm central.

Update 6-18: This will be the last practice night before our Thursday R3 brawl. Depending on the number of attendees, I may make the room private so we don't have to deal with crashers and wrong-way drivers like last week. Booting people is an option, but its time consuming to waste a race on some jackass doing doughnuts at the start line. I also promise to NOT force assists off.

Gentlemen, last event is this Thursday, R3 practice is a must! Come one come all.

I'll be there. I really enjoyed last week. It was a lot of fun and great prep for the Tourney.

Depending upon how late you guys will be running, I work until like 11pm EST and could probably be on by like midnight EST. I don't remember if I have an A-class built yet but I could probably throw something together to test out.

Gotta work tonight and tomorrow morning so I can have Thursday night off for the stock car tourney so I'm a no-go tonight.

Change of plans, I work tonight but I'm off tomorrow so I'll be on when I get done with work if anyone else is still on. It would be like 11:30-midnight EST before I get on but I've got a couple of A classers that I haven't driven much since I stopped playing career before xmas. I'd like to see how they match up against people before the A class tourney in 2 weeks. Not sure if anyone might be interested in running some laps in our stock cars to get used to them too.

Well just remember we do this EVERY Wednesday. If you miss this week, you still have 2 more weeks to try and catch us before the A-Class Tourney.

Fun night. A small experiment on my part. I didn't post it on the Forza Forum this time. I wanted to see how many true randoms we could attract. As it turns out, the room didn't start to fill till about half way in.

Going forward I'll be posting Wednesday's open track night on the official Forza Forum prior to race start.

I'll probably be on for some racing. I kinda just started so I don't have a lot of money... but if it's based around the A-class, then I could probably purchase and upgrade some cars.

We can also get you into the clan club so you can use the club garage. There are several A-Class cars to use in there and you don't have to buy anything. Hit me up when you get online and I'll send you an invite to the clan club.

Changed my shift for tomorrow so now I work in the AM. Had planned on trying to hit you guys up but I'll probably be unconscious in a little while.

So yeah... I'm pretty bad at this game lol. The racing genre is one that will probably take awhile for me to catch on.

It does have a bit of a of a learning curve

Yeah, sim racing is hard to begin with and with most things, you run into serious competition when you head online. You got thrown into the deep and last night and I still think you did pretty well. Stick with it and you will be just fine.

Plus, there is a ton to this game. Not only do you need to know the tracks and the basics of how this game drives, there is also tuning to consider. Once you get some time put into driving tuning and tweaking you'll be able to make cars that drive to suit your personal tastes. Forza 4 is deep and addicting. It will own your soul if you're not careful.
