LATE Night GRFS Tourney this Firday June 22

The S7 Ghost Recon Late night Tourney

Date: Friday, June 22th
Time: Team selection starts at Midnight (EST)
Game mode: Conflict
Players: 3-5 players per team, depending on turnout

Maps: TBA (maps will be announced at the start of the Tourney)
Prizes: Official Inter-clan Tourney Trophy and a S7 Bottle Opener/ or another prize if you already have a bottle opener.

Details: This will be a multi-round bracket-style Tourney, with the number of rounds depending upon the number of participants and teams. Team selection will be random and selection will start at 1130 pm sharp (EST), so do not be late. Roll call will be taken and teams will be determined so members that arrive late may not get a chance to participate if they miss this process.

Once the teams are selected they will be randomly selected for bracket placement and Round 1 will begin. This is a single elimination tourney where once you lose you're out and the winners eventually advance to the championship match.

Non-championship rounds: Best of 3 games, each to be played on a different map (within the round)

Championship round: Best of 5 games, each to be played on a different map (within the round)


Options: It seems like 10 players was still the max on the private matchs, so depending on turnout and votes of players we might have to play 3 vs 3 or 4 vs 4 with more than just two teams.

Other Option with more teams we might shorten the round length to 10 min

This event is for fun so Nothing is set in stone and things can be changed it majority of players agree

If more then two teams play, then a losers bracket prize will be given away also

That does seem a bit odd... Having the team selection maybe a half hour or even less before the tournament would sound more reasonable.

I'll be there since I missed the last one wife had back pains due to the baby but she should be asleep by then...

I'll probably be on but I might be closer to the 11:45-midnight window for when I'm on. I work until 11pm and have a 20 min drive home. Assuming sh1t doesn't hit the fan (which it always does in the hood on Friday night) I could be on by 11:30, but it will probably be a bit later. If I miss the tourney b/c of that I understand.

Oh, and NP Droopy about the copy/paste, I got the post format from one of Zak's old Blops Breakout Tourney post. I'm surprised I didn't have any copy/paste fails myself.

Bump! Tourney is tonight. I can't wait. It should be a blast!

Going to be out for a bit this evening, but I'm pretty sure that I'll be able to make it back to attend the tourney.

Interseptor be sure to text me around the start of the tourney. I'll be home but might be on SC2 or LoL. so I'll be sure to get on for it.

I'm planning on being on fairly early...6'ish Central in case anybody wants to get a bunch of games in before the tourney. Have no plans tonight and have made up my mind to start leveling another Engineer.

Will not be able to make it I am going out of town for the weekend. Heafing down to Cape Cod tonight should have internet but not taking my xbox.

Yeah, I had a good time, despite being on the team that lost 4-1 both times. I guess I'm the common denominator and I need to step up my game.

Kenny screwed over our team. I picked a person who wasn't even there... so Atrum pretty much got to pick two people in a row. FILTHY CHEATER! lol jk. I don't care about winning or losing. I had a good time, all that matters.

So I heard that scout was OP. Too bad you didn't know that narco sleepy even more OP. Yeah that tends to happen alot to me when just sitting in a lobby waiting, sorry.

I did miss your "Scout OP" shouts in the lobby between the rounds.

Yeah, luckily we all know to expect kenny's narco sleepy. A wise leader would have taken this into consideration.

Huskerfan switched over to yours so I'd say that was a trade up (burn intended). One engineer on each side made for a fairly even and very fun tourny, even though we had to carry the weight of all these OP scouts. Looking forward to doing this again - in the meantime hit me up anytime for GR. This is my new fav game.

I picked Husker, Droopy switched to my team. I'd play another tournament should another be planned... I'll make sure that Kenny is the 'fat kid' if I ever get team leader again.

Also, I really cannot play this game with randoms, cause it seems like every random person on my team will just be sitting in their spawn all day and only have like 3-5 kills by the end of the match whereas I'm actually trying to get objectives and have 20+ kills by the end of a match. Probably just getting very unlucky.
