hoping to have the paints all done with all 8 this weekend...
and the tunes will be out about a week after that... (with a week or 2 practice time etc)

So, just to clarify, are we looking at like 8:30 pm EST to qualify (if needed) on Thursday 9/15, with race to follow? I'll possibly be on tonight and definitely tomorrow to start testing out these cars and get pics with the paint on them posted.

Wiggles - I got the Camaro and Vette paint jobs. They look great but they're missing my name on the roof. Great job though.

Wiggles i work Nights so i won't be able to come and ebjoy this Epic race...I kinda liked the idea..Only have off on the weekends..

yeah i didnt put the actual names on them... at this point at least...i have a copy of everything i sent out... and i want to make sure i can get the paint jobs themselves done first... once i know i'm good on time i can make a vinyl group and just send it to you... no biggie

Thanks for the heads up. I figured it was something simple like that but I just wanted to confirm.

update: base designs done for 5 of the 8 cars... i'm thinking all the paints will be sent out by Friday midday

Good deal. I tried out the Camaro and Vette and they're going to be interesting to drive. I think there's going to be a good challenge in going from one class to another and not racing the same track/car twice. Good fun!

I'll probably be doing some later night test driving tonight to get a feel for the cars.

I thought the Z06 was pretty easy to drive. Fun too. Also, bear in mind that they'll all likely to have race tyres, weight reduction, brake upgrades, etc. in the final tunes. Engines should be pretty much stock, at least that what it sounds like. Hopefully we'll get aero too. <3 Aero <3

i think (at this point in testing) the lowest of the set ups are like a .93 in F class and a .98 or something for the IROC in E... but basically everything is getting the handling upgrades first and if there is room for speed/etc thats second

The 08 Koenigsegg CCGT on Twin Ring Motegi Super Speedway is gonna be VERY interesting... i bought the upgrades for it to make it R2 - 900 but did NOT tune it yet and i'm still running top 3000 times...

RIDICULOUSLY fast and a little loose (untuned)... this race in the series is gonna be a train wreck

I think the real fun will be that each race will be on a slightly more difficult track with a slightly more capable car. I'm looking forward to the Camaro, I think that race is gonna be like a dirt track stock car race. This tourney is gonna be a blast!

Purchased the last three cars I needed (Eclipse, Talon, Skyline) and took a couple out for a spin. The Eclipse is like driving a lead brick on Tsukuba. I need to work on my drifting because I think that the best drifter will probably win. The Talon shreds on Road Atlanta and I think that's gonna be my favorite car/track combo so far. The Koenigsegg on Twin Ring is going to be brutal for me. I know that the car is untuned and loose (like Wiggles said), but I'm not sure how well I'm going to be able to handle it. I ran it as is and got a clean hotlap time 3 sec slower than Wiggles (and he made some minor mods to the car), so I might be able to hang with the big kids once the tune comes down.

Just curious when the final tunes and paint jobs will be dropped for the tourney. I haven't been on Forza in a while since I was powering thru Gears 1 & 2, so if they're already gifted, disregard this comment. Less than 1 week to go!

FYI there is a dog tag bottle opener reserved for a forza event in the vault

and the majority of stuff for the event, paints/tunes are done... but i'm not going to release them all yet...
