D3 on Xbox my thoughts

Here are my thoughts for the Xbox version of Diablo 3 so far 
(keep in mind this comes from some one who has almost 2,000 hours into the PC version )

As It Stands right now  Me and Miller have Gotten to act 2 in NM mode  (there are 4 acts per play though and 4 play though Normal,Nightmare,Hell and Inferno   with each one going up in difficultly)


So i think i have gotten a good feel to say...
The Console version is what the PC version should have been from the start, The Big Plus was getting Rid of both the Auctions house which players used in game gold to buy any item they wanted   and the Real Money Auction house which used ... you guess it real money to buy in game items( i was guilty of probably $100 bucks ) , well that was fun and all as if you really needed that one helpful item you could go find it and if you trolled could get it at a good price it took away from the Core of Diablo which was doing runs to find your loot  never knowing if the next drop could be the BIG Upgrade for you or a friend.


Right off the bat on xbox version the control's just work  for any gamer  that plays xbox ( was a bit weird not reaching for my keyboard and mouse for me )Questing  is the same as the PC version and for the first time player the over all story and ALL of the cut scene's are EPIC WIN!!! If you played D2 your set right up for the action in D3.

Item Drops  Are ALOT better then in the PC version  (took me about 40 hours to get my first legendary drop on the pc version and it sucked) Right off the bat Tico,Miller and myself Notice legendary drop rate is alot higher not to the point were u get them all the time but just right when u fell like man i really need help this is getting hard then boom EPIC LOOT drop, And Unlike the PC Version i feel the legendary Drops are Targeted For the class your playing when it drops (all 4 classes have a base stat like strength,intelligence,dexterity which is a key stat to have for that class) . Also they must have added Alot of new Items as we are coming across items we have never heard off ..

I Have found myself Hooked to this Game again(me and matt stayed up  a little late last night playing) for the Simple reason they have fixed there loot drops now i feel like killing Monster means something  the next kill could be the Epic drop were as PC it was just kill to gain XP loot never drops and i have to pay real money as the gold Auction house is so over priced you will never be able to buy anything.

I would Recommend this  Version of the Game to Every one  its well worth the price or even the Rent  we have a few more months till xbox 1 and there is nothing else out there right now this will Be a crack like some of you  have never known

Tico and myself OWN it on xbox
Miller and OC   have it rented (with miller already talking about buying it )

I dont mind Starting A new Charter to help people level up  i have already made 3 XD
1. Barb   rolling with miller          act 2 NM
1.Wiz  rolling  with Miller & Tico   act 2 Normal
1 Witch Doctor rolling with Oc     act 1 Normal

I bought it and will probably start with a barb, because I like to co-op new games with a meat shield.  Might try one of the other classes on a solo play thru.  I'll try to be on tonight to play but we'll see how that goes.  Haven't plated any Diablo since like 2001/2002 so I'm pretty geeked to play.

The loss of the auction house, making shops/vendors useful, and increased drop rate have pretty much saved this game. I love it. I will also start a new character if need be (I want to play a Demon Hunter), and have my Monk and Barb ready to roll. I might try and get an hour or so in now before I have to run to the store (and I'm not doing any more yard work until tonight- it's hot as Diablo's home out there).

Damnit guys you are REALLY causing me issues here!  

Let me ask this...Do you guys see yourselves playing it still after GTA V comes out?  I don't want to go out and get this and then see everybody bail in a week and a half!

I'll probably be playing it for a while since I'm not getting a next gen at launch and I might not get GTA V right away.  Either way, since I haven't played it on PC I'll want to play thru a couple times probably.

Screw it.  I went and picked it up.  Also got the one with the helm.  If any of you guys play with me keep in mind that I'm a Diablo noob so I may not be able to keep up.  

My Huskers play in an hour so I'll be on once they have their game handled.

I'll be on after the Sooners play, and I don't play GTA so I'll be on until Xbox One (Heck, I still play the PC one at least weekly, so yes, I need my crack).

Apparently the Big Ten Network decided to show Syracuse vs Northwestern instead of my Huskers. So I guess I'll be playing earlier than I thought.

I will still be playing GTA. I have this rented right now from red box I plan to keep it for 3-4 days. Might buy it down the road a bit when I can get some money.

Oh man.  I've only been playing for 2 hours and I can see that being the case.  This game is awesome so far and I haven't even done much yet, lol.

I haven't even put it in my Xbox yet

GameFly will let me keep it for $45 and I also have a $5 coupon- very tempting....

i know have the plans to Craft the cain set  items


for those of you who dont know the set is an XP based Set to help lvl faster and for lower levels its works well for fighting 


all i ask for me to craft these items for you theres a head ,gloves,pants, chest is the mats and the money spend to craft let me know and ill give you the list of  mats needed

This game eats would just like I remember D2 doing, it may eat up most of my gaming time.  

@Sticky - could you list up what is needed for that armor and explain how a nub like myself can find the parts?  

Also, I have that legendary helm that came as DLC with my copy of the game, is it worth continuing to use until I find another legendary one?   It helps with XP and a couple other things but only has an AC rating of like 7.

You can use that helm all the way through normal (at least sticky did).

To get crafting materials, you need to salvage magic (blue) and rare (yellow) items at the blacksmith. So anything you don't need, salvage instead of selling, as it takes a lot of them to make an item.

Good times with Sticky, OC, Miller, Evol & Puppet into the early morning.  Got a Monk and Wizard to 16 or so and am really enjoying the wizard a bit more so far.

got the staff of herding if any one wants to do some runs XD

the Cain armor  (requires Level 22+ to wear)  is a 4 item  set   helm gloves  pants and shoe's 
with ever part giving you  between 13% -14 % more Xp  just depending on how the item rolls when its crafted  

Also chance to roll 
critical hit chance  between 2% -5%
magic find between 7%-8%
+2 or +1 Random Properties 
this list goes on  and if you choice to have more then one item of the set you get added bonus's   like if you wear two parts of this set you get +3% attack speed and with 3 parts you get another 30% bonus XP


to craft these items i would need  materiel that were salvaged  (taking yellow and blue item to the black smith and using the salvage tab to melt them down) PLus some gold is need to do it 

the list is as fallows 

Gloves = 30 essence (get from salvage of blue items)
            12 Fang's ( get from salvage of yellow items)
            +2600 gold

Pants = 44 essence
           12 fang's  
           +3500 gold 

Boots = 30 essence
           12 fang's
            +2600 gold

Helmet =50 essence
            14 fang
            +4100 gold

if any one would like part  or even the whole set please just ask and provide the mat's (materials)  and gold needed.....   ALSO please tell me what class this item will be for i think the crafting is targeted as well so i want to try and get you the best roll on the item i can ....  ty

Thanks for the info.  I think Matt gave me a couple Cain items so I might not need all 4 made if I can keep the items I have.
