New Headset?

Want to upgrade and don't want to spend over a $100. Have to be wireless.

That might be a tall order unless you find something on a super sale for xmas.

Yep, I don't think there are any wireless stereo sets under $100. I have the XP500. Love em but expensive and they eat AAs like Sticky eats hot pockets.

Ill keep an Eye out, You can get some wireless stereo 2.1 ones for <$80 sometimes and some 5.1 wireless one for around $150. What kind do you have now?

both are just stereo, but are easy to return to the store if you do not like them

Turtle Beach X32's are $99.

That SteelSeries 5XB for $29 is stupid cheap for a really good headset. I am pretty sure OC uses them and loves them. I would pick those up quick if I were you.

Too good of a deal. I just bought a pair for my kids as a Christmas present. It's a $150 headset normally on sale around $90. $29.99 is too good to pass up.

I would agree with zak and oc and that 29 buck headset steel series is a solid company that makes good products

if you can/ want truly 100% wireless
your going to have to spend 299.99 but its the only real wireless headset out there and is 7.1 Tritton Warhead

things to keep in mind (i know this is alot high then what your looking for) but if you save and get it ....

There ONLY a xbox headset, which for most people hear that would not be a problem but people like me ,tico,glock and some other who play PC and even ps3 this would not work

Well if you are looking for just a chat headset and no game sound then that's another ball game

Yeah then you could just buy the Microsoft wireless chat headset with no game sound.

FYI WE do have a NIB wired stereo Turtle beach headset in Prize vault that you could win ----poker tourney--- banner contest

I have a wireless microsoft xbl mic (the kind that hangs from one ear - white) that I could easily part with if you are interested. No game sound, but if wireless chat is all you are after then it might be just right. It has only been dropped in rum & pepsi once - still works.

Just picked up the Tritton primer wireless stereo headset with the 5.8 GHZ for $100

Easy fix, rechargeable batteries. I have four of them and I keep two in the headset and two on the charger.

Definitely a good find. Didn't know they were so reasonable now.

Couldn't you just set your router to a different channel? Should stop any drop in/out.

My XP500 stand is like 3' from my wifi router and I sit about 6' from their midpoint and I never have any problems. They only struggle a bit when I go upstairs to the kitchen for a drink or snack but that's understandable since they're searching thru the stairs and floor joists.

I have a DSL modem, wifi router combo deal and I would doubt that it will do sh1t other than connect to the internet. I have no experience with the xp500's I just read the reviews on Amazon. I just know I have been pleased with the xp400's.
