Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

Anyone else looking forward to this? Witcher 2 is finally coming to the Xbox 360 next month and I am very excited about it. This is a VERY deep game with really excellent combat and a deep RPG system. Frankly it looks amazing (be sure to watch the gameplay video below)! For those of you not familiar with this game I will leave you with the following:

Enter a sinister medieval world in this stunning RPG designed to shock and amaze. Play as a Witcher - a ruthless slayer of monsters - as you stalk the assassins who've already taken out two monarchs and may be after more. Ingest potions to give yourself superhuman powers in brutally complex combat that turns not just on what kind of attacks you use, but when you use them. Looks really, really good! Unfortunately I've never heard of it. Sad, but true.
I may grab it. I have Skyrim but haven't played nearly as much as I should. Short attention span I suppose.

Well, it was a PC only title when it was released (about 6 months ago give or take) so there has been little news about it on Xbox news sites till now. It was the PC Game of the Year on several sites for 2011 and generally regarded as one of the best games released reciently. We are very lucky to be getting it on the 360 and I can't wait to try it out. Those gameplay videos look amazing, especially the combat one. Be sure to watch all of that video (it's only like 5 minutes long and will definately impress any RPG fan).

I'm still in the middle of my first character in SKYRIM!!! and the same for ME3 so I'm going to probably pass on this one. I need to try and finish ME3 and get a bit further into SKYRIM!!! before GR:FS drops in May. I'll have to check out the videos a little later when I have some more time.

Now that Diablo 3 comes out in May, I'm not so sure I'll be getting this. I have been looking forward to it, so I might still grab it too.

Would like to play this eventually, but I doubt I drop $65 on it. May wait for it to get cheap or used.

Yeah, I am getting it from Game Fly so I will let you guys know what I think once I get a chance to play. I should be finished with ME3 by the time it comes out so the timing is good for me as well.

(Plus I will not be getting D3 for the PC so I am good to go there too LOL!)

The xbox wont have the nudie quests the first one had tho. No "Impregnate the sterile dryad harlot" xp or "talk dirty to the queens daughter and pork in the tower". ~sadface

I'll be gameflying this one. Looks good, but I'm basically just making sure that I'll have enough money scrounged up to get GR:FS in May.

Yeah, I am GameFlying it too. Although I do end up keeping a lot of games that I rent. (If they are any good) Just because I like to have a good game collection. Kind of like a good movie collection or music collection. Of course, the good news is buying from GF is usually $45 or less.

I'm not sure I'll be getting this at launch now. To do that I'll need to send in Kingdom Of Alamar soon, and I'm really getting into it. I probably should finish one RPG before moving on to the next, but if I don't get Witcher 2 at launch, who knows when it will be available. Dilemmas!

As long as your enjoying the game, stick with it. I usually don't worry too much about the releases of single player games. MP games are the only ones you really need to get at launch.

LOL! Me neither really. I never played the first one but I followed a lot of the info on the PC version of Witcher 2 when it launched last year and remember wishing I could play it back then. Since then I have watched a ton of videos and it really looks sick. But based off the videos I have seen and the fact that it was PC Game of the Year from many publications I think it is safe to say that this game is going to rock.

The Witcher 2 is a game for adults, and not just because of all the sex and violence. It expects you to be intelligent and interested, to care about the political machinations, racial tensions and complex history of its world. Plenty of games shield you from their lore, afraid that it might scare you off. The Witcher 2 drops you right in the thick of it, and expects you to deal with it.

This is an ambitious and absorbing game that’s not just superficially “adult”, but genuinely mature.

The Witcher 2 Makes it to Xbox 360 Intact and Ready For Sexy Action

So I think it is safe to say it was fully ported and unedited. It also comes with an all nex expansion of new quests and over 4 hours of gameplay not yet released on the PC. (PC people will get the content for Free via download tomorrow as well.)

I can't wait for that game, and am thinking about buying it. I have to finish Kingdoms of Alamur first, so it may be a couple of weeks before I get it. At least by then you all can give me some reviews!

Im done with KoA andi feel like going back to it. I hear the dlc is kinda whack though. I might get this at redbox and try it out this weekend.
