I heard Hologram too. I am pretty sure it was a hologram. They have really come a long way in hologram technology.

I'm not usually one to watch commercials for Microshaft products, but I've heard the background track for the IE9 commercial a couple times so I tracked down the song and album. It's Too Close by Alex Clare and his album was just released May 1. I just downloaded it on iTunes and from what I've heard so far I'm pretty impressed. The beat and lyrics for this song are sick and the video is pretty badass too. Enjoy!
