What game has the best music

i was just wondering which game everyone thinks has the best sound track???


mine would be the halo series with the best one being Halo 1 (halo2 is 2nd pick)


Martin O'Donnell has to be one of the best composers as far as video games go.

i was however shocked and pleased with how well Neil Davidge did on halo 4 and i do look forward on hearing what he does with halo 5 ,6

I don't really notice a good game soundtrack so much as a bad one. Nothing ruins the feel of a game like a crappy soundtrack. That said, I think overall the music from the ME series is pretty good and the music from SKYRIM!!! really helps to draw me into the game when I play, making it so much harder to stop after clearing "just one more dungeon".

Tough call...
I really enjoyed the Halo 3 soundtrack
FF IX had some amazing songs
Oblivion and Skyrim both had spectacular music to fit the mood and events going on.

My favorite? Trine 2.

Obvilion AND Elder Scrolls!?!?!?

Lol, that was supposed to be Skyrim, but my brain was thinking "The Elder Scrolls series"

Just giving you a hard time. I'd have to do some serious thinking on this but I definitely agree that Halo 1-3 are amazing as well as Elder Scrolls 3-5 (and Oblivion of course too ) Uncharted 2 is right up there too.

EDIT: I am also playing Ni No Kuni for the PS3 and the has amazing music too. It was composed by the same guy who does the Studio Ghibli films (Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle etc...).

Journey has a pretty nifty soundtrack as well.
