Not really a rant but...Did they forget to resurrect John's balls? Why does it look like he's about to cry in every scene this season? Ian McShane for only one episode seems like a waste. Was hoping for Sir Swearengen or a least a meatier role, dude is such a badass.

Completely agree with this.

His character should have been Euron Greyjoy (Brother of Balon Greyjoy), after seeing events unfold. I see him being a pain in the ass who can probably whoop some ass.

I kind of wanted tyrion to release the dragons there before being saved by the return of the queen.

Yeah, no Clegane Bowl sucks but there's still the Battle of The Bastards! And Cersei is getting ready to burn that sh1t down with wildfire.

It's still possible for the Clegane's to fight each other. Close enough.

Great episode. I loved the bloody gritty battle scenes. Some amazing cinematography during the battle. Ramsey getting a eating by the hounds was cool but I wish Sansa chopped his balls off first and then feed him to the hounds. Rickon's death was sort of meh because he hasn't matter for so long and we don't know him so it was very expected. Wun Wun went out like a boss. Sad to see the last giant die but with out him they would have never gotten in the castle. Little finger and his perfect timing with the Knights of the vale was kind of expected. I would love to see him die. And finally the dragons are out and kicking ass like they didn't miss a beat. I wish got out in a different way but cool none the less.

Yeah, very enjoyable episode. I'm curious to see if we get a nice/wrapped up season or if they go cliffhanger on us.

I thought the same thing,but knowing how they'll want to continue the suspense I'm guessing it will end in a cliffhanger. My prediction: season ends on a close-up of Dany's foot touching the soil of the Seven Kingdoms, possibly in the north.

d@mn fine episode, loved that Sansa stayed to watch the dogs eat. I'm saying cliffhanger and the last scene is The Night's King with the Horn of Joramun.

Started out slow but d@mn I liked this episode more than the last. Love all the different plots finally advancing to make this season have one solid ending. Its also nice to see some clarity, but no confirmation into Jon Snows birth. We also got to see all the alliances solidify for the coming war(s), let see how long they last. I can only hope that GRRM finished the books so anyone interested can have a deeper dive into the plots and sub-plots has a chance.

The only thing I found strange is Varys goes to Dorne but then is magically on the ship sailing for Westeros at the end of the episode.

If you follow the map, the army left Slavers bay (bottom left) and would be passing back by Dorne on their way to wherever they are headed.

Since the Dorne plot was taking place in Water Garden (very bottom of westeros, right side)
I am assuming they're swinging around and are en route to the Iron Islands.

I strongly suspect we'll see Jon + Dani match-maker episode next season.

(not to say that means they can't be incest) but i didn't think thats the route we'd go for our main hero at the moment.

Well, yes all around? lol

Dani's father was Aerys (mad king)
Jon's father is (suspected) to be Rhaegar (Dani's non-wuss older brother)

So Dani would be Jons Aunt.

That being said, Targaryens very frequently married blood relatives (actually something they pushed for to 'keep the blood pure')

So even if Jon ever finds out about his lineage, it still wouldn't be that crazy for them to marry.

Your right. Reddit community broke it down and you can see more than the iron born flags on the ships. Dorne and High Garden are already sailing in the fleet.

Gonna be an interesting next season and the interwebs are doing to go nuts with speculation and theories.

I speculate that Euron's fleet meets Daenerys' in open water and we get a big ass naval battle. The Dothraki never make it to Westeros.
