Team of level 30's all with perfect weapons for the boss fight.  We're nowhere near that at this point.  This is probably the same team that gets through the raid in 28 minutes.

Neither are we.  Impressive feat all the same.  Even with the lvls and guns, it still takes practice and focus to pull that off.  That is what I aspire to achieve all the same.  Probably never get him down on the first teleport like these guys, but I bet we can put a hurting on him all the same.

Yeah, totally agree.  I've been pushing to get my raid specific weapons up to 300 atk just for this reason.  The only thing I'm unhappy about is the absolute fail at some people (not their fault) not being able to get better armor due to RNGesus.  At a certain point people feel like giving up, and with the games coming out next month I can see the Destiny runs taking a nosedive quickly.

As it is, with the raid runs I've done I've only gotten a single raid piece and that was the first raid I ran.  Talk about disappointing when I've had zero armor drops since.  Feels like you're just running into a brick wall at a point.

Yeah? At least you've gotten one. I'm still at 0 after doing the raid every week since the start

I'm not sure how in-depth the RNG is calculated in Destiny but have you ever thought it is related to how a raid group accomplish every section of the raid? This is all hypothetical as I have run 3 raids and overall I have received two pieces of raid armor and a raid shotgun. So either I am lucky (awesome) or it might be more then a simple RNG. Instead maybe it takes in damage dealt, damage taken, time of completion, deaths per person, KDA, etc... You guys love running these strategies that usually require less risk to the overall team and for lack of a better word have been labeled "Cheese" strategies by the Destiny community. But in that video specific player alone received two exotic weapons and three different types of legendary gear. But in an post by HelloGiraffe that I can't seem to find he receives the same legendary ship twice on two different hard runs. I would like to know if you remember what you did different between your first raid attempt and how it might be different compared to all following attempts? Also don't take this as me saying Cheesing the boss is bad I could care less how someone accomplishes the goal if I'm not in the raid.

After browsing reddit as much as I have, specifically the Destiny game subreddit, I can confidently say IMO it's completely random regardless of how fast, or what strategy was used.

Sadly, I don't think it matters.  I would love to think cheese strats net less rewards but a) I don't think the system is nearly that complicated and b) too many people have gotten Mythocats by pushing.

also, I have gotten three sets of armor from my runs and Kenny has run the exact same runs with me and received less armor  Only 1 piece so far I think.

I've done the raid without any of the 'cheese' strategies, done it with them, completed in well under an hour, taken over 3 hours, spread the gammut on how many individual and group kills/deaths we had.
I think it's completely random. Finding anything accurate aside from it being random would take a massive amount of data.

Nice video.  Takes a spread out strategy rather than our group in the middle bubble so as not to nuke yourself with your launcher.  Might be worth trying.  I do have a legendary launcher but it doesn't look as cool as the one in this video.

Someone else posted up this video, tons of supers and 6 Gjallarhorns did the job in 17sec, which is the world record now.   I think it was 5-30s and 1-29, 3 Warlocks and 3 Hunters.  Well done gents!

As for draws, I've run the raid 3 1/2 times and gotten two hand cannons, a launcher, TONS of energy, like 2-3 shards and one piece of raid gloves.  I haven't completed the raid on hard, so at least the raid armor I got wasn't a helm (already have an exotic one) or that would have been useless.
