Hard Mode Raid! (XB1)

Let's get this going guys, we have plenty of 29s to beat it. What time are you all available this week?

Ok so Seaver isn't sure of his schedule tonight, Z can't do anytime during the week, and Atrum can do evenings (except Thursday) as long as we give him a heads up. Husker is typically on during the week in the evenings as well.

Just being honest here.  

I can't say that I really have the interest (right now) to run the hard raid during the week.  Not enough time/reward to be worth it IMO.  On Friday and Saturday nights when I have all the time in the world then sure.  Also will need to get more guns upgraded.  As it is I only have one primary fully upgraded and no special or heavy weapons.  That mixed with only being level 29 puts me in a frustrating position of not doing the damage I want to do. 

Before the weekend I'll most likely get the weeklies in and do the daily public events and try to get some Ascendant Energy to upgrade what I'm lacking in.

If we do normal runs, count me in, but I'm not in for hard mode just yet.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday after 5:30.

Ended up getting a void element Light/Beware fusion rifle tonight so that will definitely be upgraded fully as soon as I level it up.

Well i'm gonna try to get a group going tonight. Coolhand, sticky, seaver, myself, and Z's friend Stonur. I'm sure we can grab one more fairly easily

I'll be good to go very soon on hard.  My Vision of Confluence and Suros Regime are both at 300 ATK for my primaries.  My void fusion will be at 300 soon (maybe tonight) and my void MG is at 300 ATK.

Ok, I know it's super cheap, but I grabbed the Atheon hard mode checkpoint off somebody on both my Warlocks since it's not looking like I'll have the time to get the hard mode raid done this week.  Will save them for when people want to get on and just cheese the guy (or do it legit).  Don't want to waste the saves just doing it solo.  It's a chance to get some gear so if people want to join up let me know.  Would REALLY help if we had another Warlock (I think).

Husker, I'm only 28, but if you decide to cheese Atheon HM, let me know. Even if I'm not on, msg me, I'll get it on Smartglass and hop on.

Well, as luck would have it the coin vendor is selling a Warlock helmet, so I'll be doing the Atheon cheese as soon as I have time to get on long enough to do it because I don't want to spend the coins on the helmet if by some miracle the raid helmet drops for me. Unfortunately my schedule tonight is kind of all over the place so I can't give an exact time I'll be on.

The original plan was to get a whole group in there but Xur selling the helmet kind of changes things.

Roger that.  I've only done it one other time and that was with a full group after unsuccessfully killing him legitly so I'm not exactly sure the mechanics behind doing it with only one or two people.  If I remember correctly we'll need to go back to orbit on any failed attempts so keep that in mind.  It might take a bit longer than you've seen in the videos, lol.

I love stuff like this, I'll try at for however long it takes. Gonna watch some videos now and get a good idea of how the mechanics work.

Just want people to know that it could be anywhere from about 6 Central to whenever.  It all depends on if plans remain how they are right now or if they fall through.  I don't want anybody to be upset if I get on, send out messages and then run it if people don't respond, lol.

My plan is for it to be the first thing I get done when I log on so I'll know which helmet I'll have and get it equipped so I can start getting XP for it.

Throw me a message on XBL when you're going to do it. I'll get that on my phone and send you a message if I can join up.

Anybody else running a Warlock?  Would really help to have 2.  Or even a Titan with that armor that gives 2 grenades with that shock grenade you get.

The video makes it look so easy. 20 seconds, it went off the edge. He did say first time took him about 30 minutes to get it right, but that's nothing. I'm wondering if we will just have to stay super close knit and move around the pillar as one, so we don't split his attention.

No, only the people that are involved in actually grenading him need to be up there and only they agro Atheon.  He won't go after people if they aren't shooting at him. That's how we had to do it the one time I ran it in a group.  If we end up having a full room we will have to have people that are able to run the first wave of the oracles and get the through the first portal.

OR...we go back to orbit upon wiping so that it's a fresh start to the run and Atheon takes longer to spawn himself and try to get it done like in the videos as quickly as possible.  Which might be the easiest route to take depending on how it's going, lol.  We'll figure it out...or die trying, lol.
