Hmm, well I think they are going to build this battle up to be the fight of the century... Then there seems to be a very smart brain inside Oberyn. I think is going to run straight towards the mountain and then make one slice at him with a small blade/dagger. This will then end the life of the mountain. He will be paralyzed, bleed out it seconds, or just not be worth $hit as a fighter once the cut has been made. It will be quick.

They did talk an awful lot about how oberyn knows his poisons. Mountain dies to poison? Interesting.

Oberyn will come out like freakin' Obi-Wan Kenobi and kill the mountain with flair. He's a Prince and they train with weapons all the time. He's a Master swordsman for godsake. The Mountain is brute strength and has no real "reason" to kill other than money while Oberyn has the motivation of justice for his family.

So the tally is Mountian 1 - Oberyn 5 so far.  Gotta say that I am pulling for Oberyn as well.

EDIT: So that is 6 for Oberyn I guess lol.

This is a terrible sign for Oberyn. Too many people like him and want him to win...

LOL!  This is GoT after all.  I will say that while I am pulling for Oberyn, it's hard to bet against a man who can cut a horse in half with a single swing.

I also think that eventhough anyone and everyone can be killed in the GOT (as we've seen at this point) the mountain does nothing to add to the story line. In fact, this is a new actor for the mountain which shows how unimportant he really is. That, plus they made you feel bad for the hound after his heart felt story last week about getting burned for playing with a toy by the mountain. It's setting you up to watch the mountain die.

I agree with you klown. However, it would not surprise me if they did the traditional game of thrones thing: Set you up for one thing and do the exact opposite.

That is the beauty of GoT.  Not only cause it does what you don't expect but because sometimes it also does exactly what you DO want/expect.  Basically, you have no freakin clue what is gonna happen.  I love it!

The problem with the Mountain winning is that Tyrion then dies.  I don't think Tyrion will die for a very long time.

I agree that the GoT model is still in play.

Oberyn dies. His concubine runs to his side, draws his dagger and dies. (It will be bloody.)

Tyrion faces death but his father realizes tings went too far having lost  the prince of his biggest rival so he gets things back on track, as Jamie reminds him of the threat to the lineage, by granting Tyrion banishment to the Wall. This now sets up the inevitable fight between the Hound and his brother later on. Cersea loses it, but has a backup assassin who jumps into the ring to finish off Tyrion. This fails as Braun also jumps into the ring to save Tyrion because they are truly friends, which earns him a secret reward from the patriarch to replace what he lost in his deal with Cersea.

Not bad for a half bottle of JD Honey.   

I was close!!!      But don't count me out. Jamie still has to play the "lineage" card on his father, which will piss off Cersea who'll try to kill Tyrion and Braun will save him. I may still end up right in the end.

I managed to watch this while getting ready for work this morning. Great episode and the fight scene was epic when the mountain crushed his head like a grape. I thought the scene at the bloody gate was epic when they tell the hound arya's aunt is dead and she breaks out laughing.  It will be interesting to see were that goes. 
Good stuff two more episodes in the season with an epic battle at castle black to come.

My question is, the Mountain is still hurt badly...what if BOTH die???

Yeah it will be interesting to see if he lives. What are the rules in a trial by combat if both champions die?

I was wondering the same thing.  He looked pretty freakin dead but Tywin handed down the sentence so I assume the Mountain is still alive, even if just barely (and for how long)?  Perhaps all that matters is who dies first???

I think prince dumbass died first, but I'm not certain.
