new phone....5s or S4??

Can't decide what phone i should get next...I'm still rocking the Iphone 4 but its starting to get real slow and die fast on me, but because i've had an iphone for awhile im leaning in that direction but not sure which is actually better

I moved from a iPhone 4 to a S4 and I love it.

I'm more impressed by the S4. Iphone is the same thing as always, so you know what you're getting with it. App wise there is no difference these days.

I love my S4.  Its less expensive with more features.

I've got an iphone 4s and will probably upgrade to a 5s.  My only issue is that I currently have an unlimited data plan grandfathered in with Verizon and they're forcing their customers to switch to a set data plan if you upgrade.  I talked to a friend that works for Verizon and he said that I would probably be good with the 2 or 3 GB plan, since I do most of my data work on my wifi at home, but it's still the principle.

Personally just got a new phone on Saturday evening. Went with a Blackberry Z10. Very nice new interface and a lot like an android phone as opposed to the old Blackberry. This is not your dad's old work phone boys, this baby is really nice. Check it out...you'll be surprised.

I went from an iphone 4 to an s4  and here is my take on it. Pros on the s4 vs iphone 4 
Camera, call quality, internet experience, customation of interface, gps voice navigation is a win. Phone lets u download stuff off the Internet and uploaded stuff off the phone. Text interface is better organized and attaching pics and stuff is easier. Cons battery life is about the same as iphone, music store and music playback is not as good as iphone, app are a little more pricey, wi fi reception is a little weaker. All the cool features that were add to the s3 to make the s4 drain your battery quick and dont really work that well. Siri wanna be doesn't seem to work as well. 

The Internet on the s4 is better but you sometimes have to resize the internet page more. I see the s4 is kinda like a unlocked iphone. I hate iTunes interface so I was glad to get away from from that. The sd card is ware its at drag and drop stuff on the card the your good no sync itunes and checking sh1t and updateing sh1t and then waiting on sh1t.  If you use itunes a bunch the probability stay with iphone. I have the unlimited data plan and when u changed I kept it, they're gonna feed you some bs to try and get you out of it but all I said was if I cant keep it then im going to another carrier and bam I got to keep it, but that was with att. U have a 10 trail period at att if you dont like it u can switch it out

Love my s4 but do miss the simplicity of an iPhone at times at the end of the day they're both great phones it's just a matter of preference

As an iPhone user who is more and more intrigued by andriod phones I would lean toward the s4. I actually read an article today that said the iPhone 5s uses 40% more data than the S4. If that at all matters to you based on your contract that would be a huge swaying point for me. I still am not ready to switch but am getting closer and closer.  I also really like the size of the S4 vs the iPhone. Like Atrum said you are going to get the same thing you have in the 4s a little screen size boost, speed boost, camera is very good on the iPhone 5s and it has some good features.  Have you always used an iPhone?  If I were picking today I would think hard about it and the point to maybe sway me toward the iPhone is I own a ton of apps and have a lot set up through calendars contacts and what not.  If not for that I would most likely would go with the S4.
Yeah I know guys this is coming out of the mouth of an apple guy.

Wife and I traded in our 4Ss and got 5Ss.  So far I'm pleased with my choice.  Little bit larger size works well since I have larger hands and we got $200 for each 4S we traded in.  We used part of the credit to get some cases and needed accessories and the rest was placed on our account as a credit for our bill.

Old thread, but I got an s4. It's great. The wife has the 5S and her first comment was "Well, it's nice. But it's the same thing as my iphone 4"

I've gone through all the major brands. Presently I'd recommend the s4.

That's what I did. Traded my 4 towards my 5 and only had to pay 25 bucks.

all good sir... its better that you only had to pay 50 for it i would have done the same thing

I feel as though I'm tied to the Apple ecosystem at home, so switching could be a pain...even though that S5 Samsung announced today looks beautiful...and a 16mb camera to boot. iPhone 6 better bring it or I might have to jump ship.

The s5 looked good but was really such a minor upgrade from the s4. I was expecting a bit more still will be a great phone. I'm with you J iPhone 6 better bring it for sure. I'll be due for an upgrade and we shall see.  I am not as tied to the apple ecosystem any more but I am invested in a good portion of that.
