While the buyer is at fault for stuff like this is there any kind of protection for situations such as this? I can't help but feel bad for the Mom or Dad or Grandparent that probably thought they'd be getting a Christmas present.

They can file a claim with ebay and (potentially) get the money refunded. Unfortunately since it was probably paid for via PayPal they have this REALLY REALLY lame clause where if the purchase is over $500 (or something around there) they won't refund the money.

Also it wasn't like the ad for it was misleading it clearly says packaging for day one Xbox console not included. So I would say they would have no case.

hell it could even been that the person really did want the day 1 packaging

some people love wasting money and im sure they have spoiled ass kids and if the kid did not get the black packaging box they would not want it ..

i have seen people pay ALOT of money for Wow Pets like the Thor pet or mini Diablo Pet
