I've seen Brotherhood on Hulu

I couldn't decide on whether to start Naruto or Bleach. Any recommendations, keeping in mind i enjoy animes with special powers and stuff (i just went super nerd) hahha

Watch Hunter X hunter. It's shorter than naruto and bleach, and has MUCH cooler special power type stuff. And it's got a better story.

Well Naruto does have special powers. I would say if you want to check out Naruto watch until the end of the zabuza saga and if you don't like it, its probably nor for you. As for bleach I have never watched it.

Naruto and Bleach have a plenty of filler episodes between them, however I find to like Bleach more because it has more of a comedy element to it.  It knows when to take itself seriously and when to let loose and have fun imo.  When it does come to the main plot, I believe Naruto is better.  Naruto does have a rediculous amount of filler episodes later on which get incredibly annoying.  I'd honestly go for Bleach first.

Related question:  Ghost in the Shell: Arise episode 1 premieres tomorrow in theaters in Japan.  Anyone know if/when/where we might be able to stream it?  I am a big GitS fan and really looking forward to this.

Anyone know when Hulu plus puts the new episode of Attack on Titan up? I saw they are still running on Saturdays but it looks like I am an episode behind.

I imagine that crunchyroll/funimation both have contracts where they get the newest episode first. I'm not sure when Hulu Plus gets them but Crunchyroll gets them saturday (generally)

Just started watch Code Breaker last night and was pretty impressed.  Available on Hulu.  Check it out.

I saw that on there as one of my recommendations. I will have to check it out.

ahhh, ty maverick I was getting ready to mention Evagelion myself after reading through here, if you definitely want a to have your brain hurting watching that will do the trick and you will have to 3 or 4 times or more to catch everything in it as well

Im watching bleach again currently, and i prefer dubbed over subbed, i feel like i miss the action if im having to read what everyone is saying, but yes the downside to dubbed is you can lose alot in the translation and there are some animes out there that just suck being dubbed.

Ive lost touch with the anime world and need to get back into it.....

I've wanted to watch Cowboy Bebop.  I think I watched the first three to four episodes and then I stopped watching it.  Not because I wasn't interested in it, just had other things going on.  I've also been thinking of watching Gundam as I've never watched a single episode and it looks like it would be a good watch, plus anyone I know who's watched it says it's awesome.  I tend to be interested in animes which show off supernatural strength and abilities like Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho, One Piece and Bleach.  Yu Yu Hakusho is probably my least favorite though since every Arc is pretty much a tournament.  Beat this guy in this room to fight that guy in that room until you get to the main villian in the last room...  Which gets old a little quick.

Xpert, you have to watch Hunter X Hunter 2011, it's right up your alley.

I'll probably watch that next.  I finished my dragon Ball Z marathon not too long ago so I am taking a small break from anime for a bit other than getting my weekly fix of One Piece.  I also noticed that I've stopped keeping up with Naruto Shippuden for over four months now because of all the filler episodes they were releasing.  I was hoping that they'd continue the actual plot by now... but it's still filler.  So Naruto can go to hell. lol

Hunter X Hunter is spectacular. I'm 99% sure Shippuden is not on filler right now. I caught up on the manga so havent been watching the anime, but I thought some of the epic fight stuff was going on that's main story.

That being said, HxH is still better.

How much of an investment will hunter x Hunter be?  I see there's less than 100 episodes currently, so watching those won't take me too long.  Are there still episodes being released on a weekly basis, or is it finished?  At least this will be nothing like the three months of almost non-stop watching of One Piece during my free time to catch up on 600 episodes. lol.

The original Hunter X Hunter is completed, but it was pretty short and Hunter X Hunter 2011 is already beyond where the original ended. No idea how much longer it will go, but the manga is probably 2-3 seasons ahead so we've got atleast another 60 episodes. It's my main "I have to keep up on this" anime right now.
It also starts good, but somehow gets better every week, which is amazing. No real filler either.

Very cool.  That's what I liked about One Piece, is that there's over 600 episodes now and I'd say that about 20 episodes felt like filler to me, most of which I skipped because they were just re-cap episodes for each character.  Only thing that irked me about One Piece so far is if I had to hear 'Old Man' one more time during the Whitebeard Arc... I was going to punch a kitten.  Not saying that I hate all filler.  Bleach's filler episodes were usually filled with comedy that made me laugh and they were placed at appropriate times throughout the anime, and the filler Arcs were good too.  Naruto on the other hand, you think "oh, that one big battle should be coming up soon!"... nope, gotta watch 30 filler episodes first.  That's what pisses me off.

Yeah, Hunter X Hunter has no filler compared to those. I think there's probably 1-2 recap episodes. those are pretty obvious though.
