HLS #1 - F-Class Boogie

Okay everyone, in honor of the regular season events getting started up I am going to be doing a new thing.
Presenting the Hot Lap Series #1 - F-Class Boogie

These events will take place over a 2 week time period. Basically, from 1 season event to the next. Being that our first event is 2 (ish) weeks off it's time for the first event. The goal of this event is to post the fastest lap time on a pre-selected track, in a pre-selected class. You MUST HAVE PROOF of your time. Also, it has to be within this time period. That means if you ran the track 3 seconds faster than everyone 2 years ago, you do not win. For proof, your best option is either a pic of the screen (quality can be bad, just needs to be legible) or a saved video of the race.

Good luck everyone! Yes, I will be keeping track of winners, placements, etc. So throw a time down to get a ranking. I'm sure some weeks participation will drop so anyone can sneak in some stellar results.

mmmhmm, there's a good spot to open up practice nights with. Whatever the hot lap track is for that class, we'll use it on practice nights for sure.

Found my new car, it's not able to post top lap times on this track - but it should be a blast to drive in the tournament.

New time. Had to crush dreams...

It's not the fastest but i will post anyways.

I think my fairlady z might be able to get into the 1:13s if I hit a lap just right. Still a blast to drive. I'll be interested to see how it does against everyone else in a race.

Updated original post with current (unofficial) standings. For people that hadn't posted I just grabbed times off the leaderboard that were in the valid date range.

I must need a new car I dont see how I can shave 2-3 seconds off my time.

Just be sure you don't change your tournament car based on hotlaps!

Really though, some cars just don't hotlap fast on certain tracks. You could always try building it a different way. I know I'll have to try setting a car up 4-5 different ways before I get the 'right' one that makes it competitive.

I know I need to do something with my car because my hotlaps suck and I was way behind the pack during the practice night last wednesday (even without Husker bashing me off the road)

Xpert, I have that same car tuned up - I'll give you the same setup I made. It's fast - built/tuned right it can definitely run consistent 1:14's on here, and it's acceleration is enough to be competitive in the tournaments.

PS: Hot Laps aside, KnightOwl is clearly the best photographer so far.

I was going to give the Sprite a shot and then realized it's a DLC car that I don't have.

I assume we're having a practice room again tomorrow night, right?

Apex can't make it but I will try to be on to run it. If I can't make it, I'll try to have OC host it. Long story short... Yes, we should have a room up tomorrow night.

@ everyone else in regards to Hotlaps. Don't judge your cars off my hotlap times. I am some sort of freak. I would say that about 2 sec's off my time would be a VERY good time. Hell, I was stuck at 1:14.8XX for a while so even 1:16:XXX should be considered quite good.

I'll have to double check but I think I have a 1:18 or 1:19 in my Green Machine from this time period. If not, I'll give it another go cuz I have like 3 cars around that time.

I'm having a hard time coming up with a goo F class car or at least better than my smart fortwo. I put up a hot lap time of 1.19.345. Not very good

LOL, sorry man. Had to try it, and I'm not even using a pre-built setup, haha. I left .3 seconds on the track as I got a 1:13.1xx but I messed up my previous lap. I'm done at this point. I need to try and familiarize with other tracks!
