Some of the maps can be pretty rough on spawns. City maps seem pretty easy to completely lock down.

Lol...I think from all our comments of this game, over all we really like it and it's fun. Also We I dropped the cash for this today. Hauppauge - HD Personal Video Recorder Model: HAUP1212| SKU: 9317768I i bought it at bestbuy. Whats really cool is i got 15 dollars off the regular price because they looked everywhere in the store but couldn't find it nowhere. After he checked one last area behind the counter we gave up! So i bought a ipad 2 cover instead a military grade protector. I started walking out then all of a sudden my eyes gravitated to this box that said HD PVR, it was that one that showed in their invatory, the only one there. It was totally in the wrong spot, under he wrong price. I decided to wait one the steering wheel, don't really need it right this minute. Looking forward to making movies with this.

Yeah, Thunder you were a bastard with those f*cking mortars. I was tired of darting back and forth to avoid the hot lead you were raining down on us. However, when were on the same team it was fantastic to watch the other team get lit up like xmas trees. That's the reason that I stopped working on the engineer class and started putting in work on the support class... I want those d@mn mortars!

Lol, I thought it was cool that we communicated on what you needed, smoke or BOOOOOM! Also it can serve as a spotting tool because I can see them around corners or thier location when they fire their weapons. I just unlocked the M60, all I can say its a real M60 not like in COD it demolishes the enemy!

Re: Multi player
That's another thing that I want from the Support classes. I love that now it's a good idea to have a good LMG cuz you can get points from laying down suppressing fire which makes being a point defender (some say "camper") a good job. I never liked defending a point in COD because it's like playing defender or goal keeper in soccer... BORING! Now that you can rack up points and kills by suppressing enemies and screwing with their vision it's awesome.

Re: Multi player
I use a UMP45 with my scout class rather than a sniper rifle. As soon as I set my spawn beacon and sensor, I push forward and do work until I die. When I spawn I come in as any other class which keeps my spawn beacon and sensor in place. It will remain until destroyed or I spawn as scout class again.

Re: Multi player
I like Coolhand's take on the recon class. I might have to check that out but in general I find that the "sniper" class is the weakest. KDR has no real effect in this game. It is all about attack and defending locations. Snipers held back taking out a few people does little good. They usually don't have a line of sight to the target so they are not attacking, defending or even covering teammates. They usually spawn, sit way back and get a few random kills. To make matters worse you can't even spawn on your teammate because he is too far out of the fight.
No snipers on my squad please.

Re: Multi player
LOL- I'm the same on the Sniper. I use the PP2000 on my sniper class with the sprint perk. Basically I just use it to run as close to the objective as possible, then lay down the mobile spawn point. The motion sensor is helpfull too, but I only have it for that short time as when I respawn it's back to another class (at least until my mobile spawn point is destroyed or no longer needed).

Re: Multi player
I've been destroying teams as sniper lately. Then again I've played bf long enough to know what works. I'm usually behind enemy lines, taking out enemy snipers and moving around. It's a great way to drag 2-3 players off the offensive while they waste time trying to get the guy sniping and knifing them.
I definitely prefer sniping on certain maps. A lot of the cities have perfect lines of site on the objective making it impossible to plant without killing the sniper first. So anyone saying no snipes in their squad just needs to find better snipers.

Re: Multi player
No, it's just that most snipers simply sit back and get kills. They will go 10-2 and think they had a great round. But most of the time they actually hurt the team. 1 less guy helping take the objective and holding the spawn point back. Now I will admit that a good sniper can be very useful and even help the team greatly. I guess the problem is that most people sniping are not good at the roll and play very selfishly. Only worried about a high KDR.
Here is an example. If you are a sniper and the first thing you do is spawn, find a high spot and start taking out fools, you're doing it wrong and you're not helping. However if you advance with your team, plant a respawn beacon, and find a vantage point that actually helps your team take/defend the position then I am ok with that.

yeah I usually try to find a place close to a or b with a clear line of sight to snipe from. My death kill ratio isnt great lol. when nee be im running around with my pistol and trying to get kills that way when i spawn as a sniper.

Re: Multi player
Sounds good to me Maverick. I seem to remember you hitting me a few time while I was trying to defend a point and that is what I am talking about. You were helping your team take the objective. Not sitting way back picking off the random stray player.

Re: Multi player
I like to get the SVD and an ACOG post up watching a defensive position and take advantage of the semi automatic fire when the position gets rushed. This way you aren't out doing menial tasks and actually have a pretty good use.

I agree with Atrum, the Noobs sit way back! I counter snipe when I need to and alternate between the classes. I also go for objectives as a sniper switching to my Pistol. The radio respawn thingy is great for conquest, there are spots that for some reason enemies ignore but cause us to respawn near the target. With Motars I sit way back though...I'm basically sniping with small bombs lol.
