Its the browser i think. I saw it on explorer. Just a quick note. The season pass gives this to you for free right? other wise you have to pay for it?

It might be a week or so before I get that. I'll be working really weird hours the 1st thru the 4th and then I have a concert on the night of the 4th. Not to mention that MW3 releases at midnight between the 7th and 8th, so I'm not sure that I'll have that much time to game until MW3 drops... got the 8th off. It's great to do the schedule sometimes

The thing costs 800 Microsoft Points, but if you bought the Gears of War 3 Season Pass for 2400 points, the DLC will have come at a 33 percent discount.

Interesting, I thought season pass made it free. I guess it only gives you a discount. Lame.

Lads, the season pass includes the first four downloads plus liquid metal skin. If you buy download separately it will cost 33% more. Repeat, no cost for download if you have season pass!

Gears of War 3 will have a "season pass" for its downloadable content -- a strategy we're seeing used by Noir-ly everyone with a long term, post-launch DLC plan. Microsoft claims the 2400 Microsoft point ($30) season pass will "guarantee a 33 percent discount on the game add-ons," compared to purchasing them individually when released. The pass will be available on September 20 and include an "exclusive" Liquid Metal Weapon Set.

The season pass will cover the "first four" installments of DLC, which will be released over the next year, with the first planned for November. No word yet if there will be more beyond that to squeeze from, er, generously discount to Gears fans.

Gears of War 3 launches in Standard ($60), Limited ($80) and Epic ($150) editions on September 20.

Thanks for the clarification. That makes the Season Pass make sense. 3200 pts for the 4 DLCs if all are 800 pts vs 2400 for Season Pass, plus the free liquid metal skins make it worth it.

Still confused.

If you buy the season pass it costs 2400 pts and you get all 4 DLC and the liquid metal gun skins. If you buy the DLC one by one they each cost about 800 pts (for a total of 3200 pts) and you don't get the skins. That's what they mean by a discount, gotta pay up front for it.

To clarify, as has been done:
The first 4 DLC packs are FREE with the season pass.

The article I found had it wrong and misquoted. They meant to say that by buying the season pass, you save 33% over what it would cost to pay full price, buying them individually.
