Forza 4 LCE Sold Out at Amazon

So, I have been waiting for Gear 3 to ship before ordering Forza 4. You see I get a $20 card from Amazon once the game ships so my intention was to wait for Gear and the $20 credit, then order the Forza 4 LCE. I do most of my buying from Amazon and the $20 is an Amazon credit so it all made a good amount of sense. Unfortunately, in checking today I found that the LCE has been sold out from Amazon and is no longer available for pre-order. DAMNIT! This really sucks. I am disappointed on several levels. First off, I wanted the WRX download exclusive to Amazon. And second, I would have bought the whole thing for about $60 (after the applied credit). Now I was forced to go buy from BestBuy (which I did this morning) and I had to pay $94 after shipping etc...

The moral of the story here is don't wait to buy the LCE. They are apparently limiting the number of LCE copies to each retailer. If you are planning to buy one, don't hesitate.

P.S. Also post up here if you have pre-ordered it yet. Curious to see who all has a copy already paid off like me.

Same here Zak I was also waiting to buy another game (Nba 2k12) to get $10 more to put towards it and then it became no longer available. I will have to pre order else where soon.

I just got SCREWED! My pre-order for the LE was just canceled from Best Buy due to lack of availability! I am so PISSED right now. And to top it off, apparently every single retailer is sold out nationwide.

Be sure and check the Wal-Mart's in the area on launch day.

Sounds like something to get more people to pony up on the season pass.

That sucks Interseptor! :/ Have you tried Walmart? I don't know if they even do preorders but Walmart/Target would probably have some LE's in opening day. If it's a 24/7 walmart you can just ask the staff at midnight and they'll get it for you.

Small crappy Wal-mart locally. Closes at 11 pm and no one there can tell me if they are even getting 1 copy of the game, let alone a LE copy. Closest Gamestop (45mins away) is sold out of the LE and every online store in the country seems to be out as well. My only hope is to get it from Wal-mart but I would say that my crappy Wal-mart only has a 20% chance at best. I am basically screwed.

Well, Bestbuy is downgrading my order to the standard edition and giving me a $20 Bestbuy card and 1600 MS points to help make up for the problem. I am going to take that offer but I will also be trying to get my hands on a Limited Edition too. So I should at least get my hands on the game but I really won't be happy about it unless I get a copy of the LE. I got some things going right now so I'll let you know how it turns out.

I can always check locally and mail you a copy. I can get up a little early and hit Wal Mart around 5 or so in the morning on my way to work no problem. Of course then you will have a few days wait for the mail.
