oh noes! Playstation Fail!
Just for safety sake, I am not turning my box on for a day or so.

A wide rash of game-crashing errors is spreading among the PS3-owning community at the moment, most of which can be chalked up to a 8001050F error code. This has led to a variety of unfortunate side-effects for those affected, including corrupted trophy information and an inability to access the PSN. When combined, those two issues prevent players from launching certain games, such as Heavy Rain, without being kicked back to the XMB.
We've contacted Sony to find out what's causing the issue, and when we can expect to get back to chasing down the Origami Killer. He might just be able to make a clean getaway while we suffer through this downtime.
Update: Sony has acknowledged the issue, and is "looking into it." We've yet to hear an official word on what the problem is, though it seems to be a bit larger than just the PSN. Owners of PS3 Phats are reporting that the date on their console has reverted to 12/31/1999, which is likely the cause of the data-corrupting errors. Some Phat-owners have reported receiving the errors while their console was offline, which is upsetting, to say the least. We'll let you know when we hear official word from Sony.

Re: oh noes! Playstation Fail!
If I remember right Bullet's last xbox had an unfortunate collision with his ps3 resulting in a pile of poop. No, that's not the way to make the next gen console, but if it were the 360 would be on top giving it to that pus3
On my first 360 still and post repair I've still had no problems. Luck of the draw?

Re: oh noes! Playstation Fail!
I had the two yr warrenty think god. So they were all covered except the last time it went poopy on me. Could have got it repaired for 20 bucks which I may do. After that I just bought a new one and I think OC was the one that got a new HD from me. Something a girl from customer support told me is that if using a power strip don't. The brick is a power strip in it self so she says but I have yet to have any problems out of the new. the broke one lasted me for a year or so maybe longer after she told me that. Then I got the RRoD

Re: oh noes! Playstation Fail!
On my 4th x360, and have no problems with PS because I used to love playstation. However, not going back soon.
Thought about buying one to get Blue ray before the price dropped, so no reason now. Went to the store to buy PS3 and bought a second (backup) 360 instead...LOL true story!

On my second, first one still alive a kicking but not trust worthy...had to fix it twice...so went with the newer model, it's all good now.
