PlayStation TV
I've read a little bit about this and it seems like a neat idea. $100 and you can play your PS4 games on another TV in your house. It also sounds like you'll be able to use your PS Now sub on it. Anyone have any better info on this and is anyone thinking about picking one up?

Re: PlayStation TV
Never heard of this until now and haven't read any articles yet, but it sounds like Sony's version of Apple TV (?).
If I owned the PS4 not sure I'd pay 100 bones for this. Especially not in the first wave. Sit back, wait and see if it's worth it first.

I could see us using it on the TV downstairs for access to Netflix. Right now the PS4 is my primary gaming console, the 360 is in the gym for DVD's and FM4 between sets. That leaves a hole in the entertainment shelf in the living room.

Re: PlayStation TV
Yeah, but Apex was looking for a quick easy way to stream Netflix etc. not buy a whole new TVS7 Sticky wrote:
or have a smart tv XD
Roku is about $40-90 depending on what he really wants and a basic Roku setup would be far less than getting this $100 add-on from Sony.
sensible, practical, and I have one so I can confirm they work. So it's a win/win!

My workouts would last forever lol. That sounds fantastic though. Do a heavy set, run through a quick lap or two - repeat for days.Lickwid Apex wrote:I could see us using it on the TV downstairs for access to Netflix. Re: PlayStation TV
My whole problem with the PSTV is I'm not sold on the streaming video game tech. I was not impressed with the PS Now Beta, and I am definitely not sold on the price of renting games. So, if I'm not going to take advantage of the games, why PSTV? Roku or even the Google TV would be cheaper alternatives that still provide required content.

I use the race timer to cut my rest periods down to 30~45 seconds. So the workout doesn't last forever, but a single race can take some time.
As for the PS Now thing, I'm not sold on streaming games either. If I'm going to pony up the cash, you better give me the whole game. I saw a Final Fantasy title on the PS Now list... I didn't sign up because I couldn't keep the game.
Re: PlayStation TV
I wouldn't want to stream play my games. If Netflix etc is all youre after then Google Chromecast is only $35.
