Re: Iphone vs. Android
Well, I haven't chimed in yet but like more of the guys here I have an iPhone and absolutely love it. I don't see myself buying another type of phone any time soon. In fact I am hoping to get the iPhone 5 in a month or so just to upgrade from my old 3gs.
It is hard to describe why the iPhone is sooo good. On paper, the droid phones are just as good or even better than an iPhone. But that doesn't tell the whole story. If you ever own one you'll understand. The product, iOS and app store are all so well done that it becomes more than the sum of it's parts. Quite simply it is the best phone on the market today. Period. Ever wonder why every phone that comes out is compared to the iPhone? I'll give you a hint, it's not because it sucks.

That's probably the route that I'd like to go but we'll have to see what my wife is looking at and what kind of deals we can get. When we got the Droids, we got them buy one get one free and we got them from Best Buy so they took the Verizon mail in rebate amount off the price so it was like $99 for the two phones and we couldn't pass that up.

You could always check what your version of droid is running for on ebay. Me and my wife had Blackberry Torchs when we decided to switch to the iphone 4. We actually ended up making $50 even after getting the iphones.

There is that. We keep them in pretty good condition and we'd probably be able to get some money off em. Thanks for the thought.

Re: Iphone vs. Android
So the wife and I were able to track down two of the white 16GB IPhone 4s yesterday and we got switched over to them. We got them from the Apple store and the staff that helped us set them up were fantastic, having us manipulate the phones, rather than explain everything while they do it. I do have a couple questions for those of you that have IPhones:
1.) Is there a way to make the phone completely silent, ie. a silent mode? Sometimes I'll be texting with someone or I want my phone on at work but I don't want it to make any noise.
2.) I know that it's darn near impossible to get songs for ringtones without buying them, but does anyone have any suggestions? I downloaded an app called "Ringtone Converter" and it seems to be more trouble than I'm willing to deal with.
3.) Similar to #3, any ideas on backgrounds/wallpapers?
I would prefer to not have to jailbreak the phones, if at all possible.

1) Flipping the switch on the side of the phone will put it on silent lol. If you don't want it to even vibrate, go to settings -> sounds and turn vibrate off for the silent category.
2) Don't know, I just use Marimba
3) You can use any picture on your phone, whether it is one you synced or even one you took. Doesn't get easier than that.

Making the ringtones isn't that hard. There are plenty of guides out there for it and really, it only takes a few minutes at your PC.

Re: Iphone vs. Android
Thanks for the info guys. I'll just have to play around with the phone a bit and see what it can do. This is the first I've ever used an IPhone (haven't even messed around with a friend's) so I'm learning as I go.

They should really follow every other phones example and make easy.

Re: Iphone vs. Android
Yeah, probably. I'd love to know the reasoning behind not having it. I'm sure they could implement it both well, and easily.
