Iphone 4S

I think I am going to just keep my iPhone 4 not really impressed with the 4S that they will be releasing on the 14th.

Didn't see the press conference, have been waiting to see the next iphone and promised myself I'd get it. So it's not worth it?

Also, was Steve Job at the conference or did he leave it all up to the new CEO?

Clown for new comers it's worth it, they upgraded the guts, so it will be worth it for us!

I don't understand people. To me, it's NEVER worth it to upgrade unless you're eligible for the discounted prices, or you're going from a non-smartphone.

I have a cracked 3GS with a broken vibration switch and a battery that won't last a day, so I'm preordering mine on Friday morning. The thing is a beast, even compared to the iPhone 4. The A5 chip is amazing, finally an upgraded camera and 1080p video with stabilization, and as long as Siri works as advertised, it really could be a huge plus. Personally, I cannot wait

The 4S is for 3GS owners and those new to iPhones who are looking to renew contracts with a new phone.

The iPhone 5 will most likely be released in June keeping with the normal iPhone release schedule, and be for people who currently have iPhone 4s who's contracts will be ready for renewal around then.

It's smart marketing and product management--strengths of Tim Cook. Plus, I think they want to make sure that they can still provide the same level of battery life with HSPA+ or 4G.

How sure are you about that? My wife and I both have original Droids and we can upgrade at the end of this month and we're probably going to go to IPhones. We had heard that the IPhone 5 was supposed to drop this month and now they say the 4s is going to be released instead. We don't want to get the 4s and then find out that the 5 is coming out in like a month or two.

forget the iphone dude. Go with the nexus prime. should be announced on oct 11 by samsung. Its android with ice cream sandwich os. Its said it will launch on verizon. Now thats a phone that will be worth getting. All updates will come from Google no need to wait for samsung to update.

I once saw on a forum that if you want a phone to tinker with to do exactly what you want then buy an android if you just want one that works and looks amazing doing it then get the Iphone. I personally switched from an android to the Iphone so I happen to believe this to be true. I AM NOT an apple fan boy (typing this on my win7 pc lol) but face it EVERYONE tries to be the Iphone and it never happens.

That's about the best i've heard it put, And no one truly knows when the iPhone 5 will be released, you just have to wait like the rest of us. lol

At least Sprint can get their hands wet with the 4GS.

I'll be waiting for the 5 (I have a 3gs). I like the features but I want a refreshed design, especially if it's the same as the leaked cases.

So, it looks like my wife and I are going to upgrade our Droids to the Iphone 4s. I know we'll probably be waiting for a while, but I was wondering if any of you fanboys have gotten one of these yet and what you're thoughts/impressions/concerns are so far.

I got mine an absolutely love it. The camera is amazing, and Siri (which I really didn't care about before I got my phone) has become my favorite feature. Not to mention how much faster it is. The ONLY gripe I've heard about the phone is that standby battery life is about the same as the 4, some claim a little better while some claim a little worse. From what I've seen personally, the battery holds up to the 4 for most things, but the upgraded specs allow the battery to last much longer for games and movies.

Isn't the 4S the iphone 5 or is a branch of, of the iphone 4?

The iPhone 4s is the 5th gen of the iiphone but it is the same design of the iPhone 4 with a faster processor, better camera..... The next new iPhone will be the iPhone 5

I got a driod before and just didn't like the interface and the HTC just kept crapping out on me, so I dumped it. I've actually got more use out of iphone for the teacher apps and the theatre apps.
