Spring Ball

Well as Spring approaches it is that time again for one of my favorite sports seasons Baseball. What are you guys thinking this year?

I'm thinking I'll here lots of "Yankees Win"

Its still early for me. I normally turn my attention to Baseball after March Madness.

Well I've been watching for you Matt, so I can tell you it's going to be a GREAT Yankee season! We've got a few really good additions and although we lost Johnny Damon and Matsui we picked up Curtis Granderson (and his30 HRs, .249 BA, 71 RBIs for 2009), right hand pitcher Javier Vasquez from the Braves who went 15-10 w/2.87 ERA (6th), 238 SO (2nd). We also got Nick Johnson for DH replacing Matsui and last year he had 8 HRs, .291 BA, and 62 RBIs.

Looking forward to this season and all the things baseball season bring. Nothing like it...feel like a kid again...LOL

Still trying to figure out the Angels. Seems like Matsui is going to fill in for Figgins, Matthews, Guerrero, Escobar, Lackey, Oliver, and Arredondo. I still have no idea who's going to play third base. I'm not asking which of the third basemen is going to be the starter, I'm seriously asking if there is a third baseman on the team.

Dodgers look like they took a step backwards too.

Nats shooting for .500. Nothing more, nothing less. I'll be happy with improvements, especially to the pitching staff. Nijer Morgan is the man.

Hey, like I said I'll be rooting for them. They are my "sister" team. The one I watch when the Yankees aren't playing.

God I hate the Orioles so much I just can't stand to watch. That and the commentators (Gary Thorne, Rick Dempsey, and Jim Palmer on MASN) sucks!!!

I might give Baseball another chance to catch my interest...don't know why it's so hard for me to follow it. Of course I'll be watching my hometown Rays.

A lot of people say the game is too slow, and they've tried to "speed" it up but I hate that. Leave it alone. Infact, it's the only perfect game. That's why no clocks are needed... There's a beauty and majesty that no other game can match (maybe basketball at times) but the stats, chess game played on the bases deciding is this a hit and run or steal situation, the bullpen and pitching rotation...it's all very entertaining.

Watching the Angels and White Sox right now. Wow, I cannot believe we got rid of our announcer Rex Hudler. This retard announcing the game right now, who will be the Angels' co-commentator during the regular season and the guy who replaced Hud, just called Abreu "Ah-broo". I replayed it a few times thinking maybe I just heard it wrong, but the guy seriously said "Ah-broo". Plus it took him a good three or four seconds to say "Bobby....Ah...Broo", having a really hard time trying to pronounce it. I can understand if it was a minor league guy playing his first game for the team, but Bobby Abreu?

Sunday night....RedSox vs. Yankees (Act I)
Can't think of a better game to start the whole thing.

Both teams improved over the off season, many new faces...should be a good one.

I can't wait it should be a good one. I just wish it was going to be a day game especially with the weather that we are going to have up here this weekend.

Opening night lived up to all the hype. It was a classic back and forth battle with the Red Sox winning in the end. Im kind of upset with how poorly Josh Becket pitched. But good game and good win

You guys are getting all excited about the baseball season, but does nobody care for the Stanley Cup Playoffs? Or did the Olympics leave everyone jaded about the subject?

my stros are going to win the NL central this year. one day the cards will give it up, and this might be the year.

and we'll do it without the millions $$$.

I give you a hard time, but honestly Astros should be okay. Not that you'll dominate anything-- but your team honestly isn't that bad.

We're sports fans we're supposed to give each other a hard time think about I me and Klown when are arch nemesis when it comes to Patriots-Red Sox vs. Dolphins-Yankees but when he's not donning that horrific ugly orange jersey or the even more horrendous pinstripes I take a bullet for the man lol.

Got to quote myself here. I was WRONG! You stink...presently 0-5?? Only team in the majors without a win? Wow...Even the Nationals are doing better . Watched them beat the Mets w/ Johan Santana (got a grand slam off him which is unheard of) after they beat the Phillies.
