MLG Spring Championship
Live today and tomorrow (and yesterday some).
Check it out for some awesome SC2, LoL, and Fighter gameplay. I highly recommend checking out the sc2 stream even if you don't play. It's very fun to watch and the commentators make it easy to follow.
Also, even if you're not going to watch it at all. Go to the site:
http://www.majorleaguegaming.com
Play with the layout. Very awesome streaming features.

Re: MLG Spring Championship
And as for quality, I haven't watched much MLG lately because I hated the lag, stream deaths, etc.
It is absolutely SPECTACULAR! I've been bouncing between having 3 and 5 streams up simultaneous (all in the same window thanks to their awesome layout) and none of them have lagged at all. It's very impressive.

Yeah, SC2 is a great spectator sport and since D3 convinced some of you to get half-decent PCs, it is a game you should consider trying...
LoL, you kind of need to play it a lot to understand what it going on, otherwise it'll just be like an acid trip.
The fighter streams are fun to watch for a bit but they lack the variety that the SC2 stream does.

Re: MLG Spring Championship
Watched the LoL Grand Finals (and many games leading up to them). Pretty great stuff.
Usually had both the SC2 Red and Blue stream up at the same time, until it came down to 1 stream left. At that point I switched to the dual view and was usually full screen on either lol or sc2 (you could hear the SC2 fans screaming in the LoL commentary, so I would switch over then)

Re: MLG Spring Championship
I have to say the League of Legends games that weekend were top notch the only thing I laughed at was when Dan Din said Malphite jungle was slow. with his E and W he has one of the fastest jungle clear times.

Yeah, like OMG. I was toally rofling when Dan Din said Malphite jungle was slow. Clearly Dan Din does not know that, Malphite, with his E and W has one of the fastest jungle clear times. What a noob!

Well, they usually have commentators in pairs.
1 commentator will be knowledgeable, able to provide insight for strategies, why players do what they do, etc.
The other is a 'color commentator' and is supposed to play the part of the audience, while being entertaining.
Silly comment? Yes. But if you ever saw Day9 cast some of the early sc2 games his co-hosts said some equally silly things.

This would be your Summerall/Michaels commentator, right?

This would be the one who's a smidge smarter than John Madden, right?

Yeah but Dan Dihn is a pro level jungler that used to be on Epik(now TSM EVO)
You would think he knows something about it.

Had no idea he used to be on a pro team.
Then again skill =/= knowledge.
Look at sticky.
