Yup, would be nice to see complete control over grid order. I'd also like to see in-lobby tuning. Just a dream though

Re: S7 Forza 3 S-Class Tourney - Season 3
We could also consider using the trueskill thing as well, but I rather like the idea of placing for each Tourney no matter what the overall score is. It would give the everyman a chance to place just as much as the hardcore racer.
As stated above, let just hope that we can have more control with Forza 4. I seriously can't wait till this comes out.

I'm looking forward to the extra realism and new tyre and physics models. The more realism we get, the better. Separate the grown-ass men from the boys.

Re: S7 Forza 3 S-Class Tourney - Season 3
Back on Topic: I am currently leaning towards using either the R8 LMS or the Lambo Superleggera. Both are pretty freakin sweet. I still have to tune and paint but I'll post up some pics in the next day or so.
Really looking forward to this one.

Yeah, I want to try out my R8 LMS against you tonight. I think it will do much better against the Viper.

Mmk. I'll be working on a new car also so I have something for longer straights/less curves.

I could go either way on this. Why should everything have to be put on hold because someone's connection dropped or something, however, it kinda sucks when you're the driver that has that happen to them.
Sounds like all of these new additions to Forza 4 will make the game insane vs Forza 3. I'm definitely going to have to convince my wife to get me the special edition... looks like she might be getting another Coach purse for our anniversary in September, that should guarantee me the game and the time to play it when I get it. Thoughts?
Seriously, if you guys could give me like 2 or 3 solid car ideas to work from so that I don't end up with like 10 S class cars (like I did for the A class) that would be much appreciated. Otherwise, I'll just have to make one of these bastard "leaderboard" cars that you guys always joke about. Happy racing!

If you want a solid car that isn't "The leaderboard car" your best bet is to go to the leaderboards, choose a track and S-class, and scroll down until rank 1000 or so. Those cars will be good, fast cars that can be tuned to hang with anyone.

Re: S7 Forza 3 S-Class Tourney - Season 3
Thanks for the advice, that's really what I was looking for. I'll just hit up some of the popular tracks and see what tends to appear on more than one leaderboard around 1000.

Yup, it's best to look at a long and short track. I usually like to use Twin Motegi Full and Mugello Club for Top end vs Cornering

Almost any Porsche, Audi or Lambo will do pretty well. The Lambo Miura concept and Porsche Carrera GT are two of my favorites.

Re: S7 Forza 3 S-Class Tourney - Season 3
I've got my Subaru 22b tuned up pretty well. It's a strong car for the mix tracks with long straights and curves.
Put a Reventon together so I have something in case any stupid straight/long tracks come up.
Still working on my handling/overall car. I had some extra MS points so I bought VIP and have some credits to burn.

Yeah, I got my Gallardo Superleggera running pretty nice. I think it will be my main S-Class runner and I am happy with how it turned out. But I still have to check out the R8 LMS a bit more. It may be a better overall car. Many hours of Forza lie in my future.

My Carrera GT is sexy. That car is so smooth and easy to drive. I like the Zonda and the Mines R34 also. Most likely I'll drive the Carrera though cuz I think that will be a better choice for a more well rounded car and then I can concentrate on learning just one car and maybe I'll do better. I look forward to what everyone brings to the final tourney.

I'll be going away for the weekend early friday morning like, 6:30 am, so, how well I do will likely decide whether I complete all seven races or not...

So I'm finding that most of my cars are useful for different tracks. The one exception is my Subaru 22b. Can't quit get the build/tune right on that one. It's got great accel but don't know how it would do in a real race.

Depends how long the acceleration stays decent for. Handling and low range acceleration are great for short, twisty tracks. I can't see how that Scooby would be better than a Zonda though.

Yeah it really doesn't stand too much of a chance against cars like the Zonda, Gallardo, Viper, etc

Yeah, the tuners can have trouble keeping up in the S-Class. Up to A-Class you are good, but I think S-Class is a step too far for most of them. At least on the longer tracks due to the lack of any real power and top end.

It's got a few tracks that it can at least post close to respectable lap times on, so it'll make a showing.

I still need to do some tuning/testing in the next few days. If you want, hit me and we can test some of these cars out.
