S7 Forza 3 D-Class Tourney - Season 3

Things continued strong last week as we continued our assault on the Season 3. I continue to see improvements across the board and I am excited to see where the rest of this season will take us...

Forza News -

Last week was another epic showdown as we continued Season 3. We raced E-Class and had some of the closest races yet. Epic, Wiggles Sticky and Kenny were constantly battleing for position and the competition got very intence. Everybody raced clean and there were very few accidents. Just good close racing. Skilled passes and on the corners and overtakes on the streights. It was truly one of the best Tourneys yet. When the dust setteled the standings lookded like this. I was in first followed by Wiggles, Sticky, Epic, Kenney, Chippy and finally OC in 7th. Newcomer Pooty was once again forced out due to connections issues. We raced head to head for hot lap times and once again missed by only a few 10th of a second. I hope we can get this resolved because I feel he could be a real contender for the top spots based off of his qualifing times. He did receive 8th place points by default so it was not a total loss.

Overall Standings are as follows...

Wiggles - 18pts
Interseptor - 18pts
Sticky - 14pts
Epic - 13pts
Chippy - 9pts
Kenny - 9pts
Pooty - 4pts
OC - 4pts
Coolhand - 3pts

VERY CLOSE SO FAR! We have a tie for 1st, 5th and 7th and only 1 point seperating 3rd and 4th. Hard to get closer than that.

It should be very exciting to see where this season takes us...

So now , I am proud to present the S7 Forza 3 D-Class Tourney - Season 3. We are off to a good start and ready to roll. It's time to get to work and start building/tuning your D-Class Cars. You have a little more wiggle room this time and more car options but it will still come down to the drivers who are the most prepared. Drivers will have till Thursday, April 28 to build, tune and test their cars at which point we will meet up and see who has what it takes to win. Get a solid car and start practicing those tracks.

The rules are pretty simple and as follows:

This is a Championship Tourney so the event will be 7 races.

Date: Thursday May 12, 2011 <-- EDIT: New Date
Time: Qualifying starts at 8:30pm sharp Eastern Time (if necessary)
Car Class: D-Class
Damage: Simulation
Collisions: Always On
Starting Grid: Random
Tracks: Random - Player based
# of Races: 7
# of Laps: TBD(depending on track length)

S7 Members ONLY!

The winner will be decided by points base on where you finish each track. The person with the most points will be the D-Class Champion for Season 3. Your overall placement will go towards your season standing.

This Is My DCLASS Car....Hope It Does Well...

Porsche is always a good call. I am currently working on an FTO. I'll post up some pics as soon as I get the paint finished.

I'm hella busy, so i'll probably have to run last seasons car again. That said, it was horrific off the start line, so I might mess around with the tune.

Anyone got any tips on what I should tune to improve launch?

That mainly depends on the parts you're using, but I assume you've already tuned the torque and gearing?

Not with launch in mind. It wasn't race tested when I tuned it. It's fast on hot laps but as I said, off the start it's just a sitting duck.

With the pack of guys we have racing now it's more important than ever to get a decent start before they get a chance to hit you, lol.

Sorry but I have a little league game with my oldest son tomorrow night starting at 7pm. I won't be available till 9pm at the earlist. I would hate to miss out and hope we can reschedule. We could just go a little later, 9pm ish, or reschedule for next week. Let me know what you guys think.

Blah my connection dropped halfway through mugello. I wish I had been able to save the massive lag spike that happened right before it though.
