Rogue One: Possibly spoilers

So anybody else watched this yet? I thought it was a solid addition to the series with a one exception, Grand Moff Tarkin. Ok, two exceptions if you count the very end. What was up with that Polar Express cgi?

Man, that CGI is actually completely insane. Artists use tricks and effects to disguise present CGI downfalls, but they went with a well-lit close-up shot to introduce him. I do agree that they went a bit high-gloss on the cheeks though. I think they could have lowered the levels on his face a bit and had it be more convincing.

We're not quite there yet, but we're getting closer to having CGI that you can't differentiate from actual people.

You can put it in spoiler text, but what about the end didn't you like? Because the very end was 100% my favorite scene.

The 2nd CGI character, although it was better than Tarkin. You're exactly right on the high gloss and I think that's what distracted me the most. Other than that it kicked ass. Had to go buy the K-2SO Funko after the show.

Yeah, we definitely share our favorite scene.
I thought Tarkin looked a lot better the last couple times we saw him. It wasn't zoomed in as close and there was other stuff going on though, which is what they normally do to help disguise CGI.

I'm sure I'll also go again soon.

I thought it was a solid movie. Easily the best acted star wars movie made. Story was pretty solid too.

Ben Mendelsohn is epic in this movie as is Felicity Jones and Mads Mikkelsen.
