Re: S7 Anime Club Monthly Feature - December 2016
So, I watched the first few eps both subbed and dubbed.
Summary:
The dub is good for talking, but the singing is MUCH different.
Definitely at least switch over to the sub for any songs by the main character.
Would be easier to just watch the sub, but if you're heart is on dub, do yourself a favor and listen to the sub songs.

Started and finished the first half already. Really enjoying this one. Highly recommend you guys watch this one. And watching subbed is infinitely better. there is a lot of spoken English in the original Japanese version and the language barrier is important to the main characters. That part would be completely lost in the English dubbed version IMO.

I'll try to watch this one as its outside my normal genre of animes.

Well, just finished this one. I'm a big music fan, and have played with/in a few bands - so this series was great for me.
Really cool seeing some real venues referenced too.
Definitely recommend anyone on the fence give it a watch.

Started it. In your face, bitches! I don't think I've ever watched something that was slice of life. Action/adventure is all I ever watch, kinda spoiled by it.
Something about the first episode kind of irritated me, but I'll keep watching.
Now Interceptor is losing/lost his bet. Win. rofl

So after burning through the first half I kind of slacked the rest of the month but I did finally finish Beck this morning. Very solid SoL anime and I really enjoyed it start to finish.

Re: S7 Anime Club Monthly Feature - December 2016
I got to about episode 8 and never got back to it. The slice of life genre is new to me, and as someone who exclusively watches action/adventure anime, I just found it difficult to motivate myself to watch the whole thing. Maybe I should start off with something shorter...

You quite in the common 'slow' section for literally every anime.
Generally the first 5-6 eps are the initial plot, followed by some character building (slow) and then ep 10-12/13 are the initial plot climax (end of season).
That being said, if music doesn't interest you at all - this probably isn't your thing.

Re: S7 Anime Club Monthly Feature - December 2016
Finished up the series over the break and i surprised even myself in liking it.
I even ripped the soundtrack from youtube.
Just to make everyone happy i listened to one of the songs without the dub and it was equally as good.
I really like how this show had pretty much everything in it.
It had a love story, drama, coming of age (breaking out), a little bit of violence, and musicianship.
I was surprised at the language lol

Nice! I was pleasantly surprised by this one too.
Really expected it to be 'meh' but enjoyed it all the way through.
Glad other people stuck with it too!
