Season Highlights - Fall 2016

In this section we will explore the newest anime out there. We will be following and discussing 3 different series currently airing this season. We start our highlights with the current season airing right now, Fall 2016. I have been watching and discussing the new series for the last several weeks and finally come up with our official recommendations. So without further adieu, here are the official recommendations...

#1 - Izetta, The Last Witch 



Synopsis: In a pre-WWII alternate reality, Izetta, the last witch must help her childhood friend, and Princess of Eylstadt, defeat the invading Germanian armies!

#2 - March comes in like a Lion



Synopsis: Financed by his salary as a professional Shogi player, Rei Kiriyama is a 17-year-old boy who recently started living alone. After losing his family and leaving his adoptive one. Despite his independence, however, he's yet to mature, evidenced by how he lives. Acquainted with Rei are the three sisters: Akari, Hinata, and Momo. Unlike Rei, they live happily in their modest home, which they warmly welcome Rei into as if he were one of their own.

#3 - All Out!!



Synopsis: In rugby, there is no ace striker, there is no number four batter, so who is the star of the team? This story follows Gion (a tiny fireball) and Iwashimizu (a gentle giant) who end up pulled into the world of Rugby - joining their schools veteran team. With such differences in both personality and physical performance, the team must learn to work and grow together so they can become the best.

All three of these show are currently airing weekly. We will use this thread to discuss each series as it airs and follow along together as the stories unfold. Each series is between 3 and 4 episodes into the current season so you can start watching right away to get caught up. All 3 series have a solid start and come highly recommended. Discussion can start right away so get out there and report back.

So, anyone start the season series above?  So far all three are solid and varied series.  Izetta is my favorite so far but it's right up my alley. I'm especially interested to thee the next episode as I think the Germanians are about to figure out the bluff of the "White Witch" andn the true secret of her power.

As for All Out?  I have never watched a sports anime before and I must admit I am really liking it too.  I'm interested to see where it goes and how the characters progress and learning about Rugby.  I like the dynamic between the two MC's and it looks like the "gentle giant" is about to let loose a can of whoop ass.

And I just started March comes in like a Lion but the first episode really took me by surprise.  I found the animation really awesome at times as well as the music.  it has a different feel from the others and I have a really good feeling about it.

Anyone else watching?  Thoughts?

I'm caught up on them all

March comes in like a Lion got a lot better in episode 3 (in my opinion).
That's pretty normal for that genre, but if anyone is going to check it out - be sure to watch more than the first ep or two.

All Out got quite a bit more interesting this week. They get a new character introduced and the show takes some structure.

Izetta continues as expected - which is awesome.

I think I'm a week behind on March (I forget which day it comes out on) but I'm enjoying it.

All caught up myself.  Izetta continues to shine as my favorite series of the three.  It will be interesting to see not-Germany counter with what ever they are cooking up.

All Out developed nicely as Atrum pointed out with a new character and March goes deeper into the MC past to really show you where hye came from.  All really good series.  If you are not watching, you are missing out.
