Pokemon GO
Who's trying it, what do y'all think, or am i so young that no one here ever got in to this when it first came out?

Re: Pokemon GO
I just downloaded it yesterday and only caught a few pokemon. I like the fact you have to walk around town and collect random Pokemon I'm a level 3 so far. When you get to level 5 you can choose your team color and name I believe. I used to play Pokemon as kid myself so this game is a definite win for me.

Re: Pokemon GO
I downloaded it and captured 1 pokemon, then uninstalled.
I love pokemon (still have roms for red, blue, yellow on my pc, and also play on my DS). Still have thousands of cards.
That being said, with all the stuff I have going on in RL, I didn't want to dedicate the extra time to GO right now. I'm sure I -could- squeeze it in, but I'm pretty sure my work/personal life would suffer xD

POKE what? then "catch 'em all"?...
Is that like catching variations of STDs?
I kid, I kid. No, I'm a bit too old for this. My son loved it though...he's 25, so

Re: Pokemon GO
Makes sense, as i'm also 25 haha
I was on the verge of uninstalling, as it seemed like all you did was capture them and make a cool collection. I dug further and you can trade, battle, etc. So as i progress in levels i'll see if it gets better.

After all the hype this thing has gotten, do we have more people that have taken interest?

Re: Pokemon GO
I am 40 so I missed the Pokemon craze back in the day. My daughter came in the other day and talked me into trying it out.
I think it is very original design that is pretty cool. With that being said I don't think I will devote any more time to it past level 4-5.

Re: Pokemon GO
I hear you, i will give you the honest answer, not as a selling point, but the game is semi-lame until you reach level 5. then a lot of doors open up on what you can do. You can battle, and train and do more than just catch stuff and walk around all day lol

Re: Pokemon GO
I've played up to level 12 so far. It's something fun to do with the wife/kids.
I'm pretty casual about it, but enjoy being the random pokemon fact guy for all my friends.

my wife and her cousin always asks me, "who is this, is it any good?" "What does this evolve into"
I'm having a good time with it. Me and my wife are getting roller blades so i can stop doing all this walking crap lol its good to get the dogs out of the house also.

Re: Pokemon GO
Got a smartphone on Monday and was able to download this game. Have to wait for my SIM card, so I can't really GO anywhere with my phone unless I hit Wi-Fi hot spots. Did manage to get to level 5 just from sitting in my apartment though lol. Having trouble picking a team. I see Instinct and Mystic getting a lot of flak for some reason.

Re: Pokemon GO
I chose instinct, since most people and gyms in my town are red or blue. I want to fight at gyms, not be back up to an attacker.
Do we have any gym owners here?
What is yalls highest CP? What a favorite you have?

I'm Valor. Just liked their logo.
My team are all around 800-1000 CP. Just farming up various double evolution pokemon to work toward their final form.

Lolz @ Zak
Noob question, it looks like you have unlimited incubators, can you incubate more than 1 egg at a time?

Re: Pokemon GO
There are multiple incubators. Each 'type' can incubate 1 egg at a time. You'll get more from leveling up, pokestops, etc.
The additional ones you get are generally limited use though.
Example)
Right now I have 3 eggs incubating
1 on my Infinite
1 on a 3x use
1 on a different 3x use
