Ghost recon wildlands
New trailer and I am liking this game more now and see the direction they are going. I am holding out hope for some old school graw style multiplayer and see some glimpses of it being possible from this trailer. E3 is right around the corner and this is a game I am looking forward to seeing more of.

Definitely looks good. I really like the gunsmith and weapon customization in GR:FS and hope that it makes it into this one.

I agree think about how long ago that was and how few games bring that aspect. I've done some more reading and video watching and it seems it might be 4 player co-op only and not mp but they may reveal more at E3. I'm holding out hope.

Re: Ghost recon wildlands
So I have been thinking about this game and ubi soft in general. I hope they don't do to this game what they have to the last bunch of there's. R6 siege showed us a great trailer and the game didn't look or feel the same. Watchdogs and division did the same in my opinion. Impressive trailers and "game play" but not so much when the game comes out. Don't belive me go on YouTube and look at the E3 footage for these games. It is very much false advertisement. With no beta announced I fear the same for this game. I hope they show that they are bringing back the classic mp and it's not just co-op. I think I am going to have to take the wait and see approach with this game and see what the final product looks like.

Re: Ghost recon wildlands
I have lost a lot of faith in the quality of Ubisoft games, especially after seeing the mess that The Division turned into. I don't do day one purchases anymore, so I'll be waiting to see what the game is really like on release.

Re: Ghost recon wildlands
I was underimpressed by Watch Dogs and while The Division is riddled with problems, I still like the game. I probably won't pre-order Wildlands, but I'm definitely curious to see how it plays.

I'm interested, and will wait to see where this goes. R6 Siege was a huge disappointment to me. But so many people complain about Watch Dogs why? I really liked (still like) that game personally. In fact I think I'll run a few hours of it tonight!

Re: Ghost recon wildlands
I think that my problem with Watch Dogs, was that when it was being showed off at E3, it looked awesome. The version that eventually released on consoles was probably half as "pretty" as what was initially shown. Obviously, there are a sh1t ton of games that have pulled this tactic, but I was still disappointed. I liked Siege, but the amount of content in the game did not justify the $60 price tag.

I'm starting to share your sentiment.
Ive been disappointed with several games I purchased on day one. I think I just need a little more patience.

Re: Ghost recon wildlands
Ubisoft is suffering from having a marketing/sales department that is more talented than their programmers/designers.
The games are never 'bad' - they just don't live up to the expectations that are set beforehand (and GRAW OP)

Ditto. Ubi screwed the pooch initially with Division but, like Destiny, they are pulling it out. It took Taken King to get Destiny back on track and with Patches 1.1 and 1.2 you can see they are trying to clean up the Division mess (except DZ). BTW - RB6 Siege was a MAJOR disappointment - I love that franchise.

I still like the Division....lots to do like you said in that thread without going into the DZ. I agree....RB6 was terrible. What were they thinking!

Re: Ghost recon wildlands
If ubi promoted the game they actually came out with for the division then maybe I wouldn't have as big of a problem with it.
Major false advertisement is my issue with ubi

Re: Ghost recon wildlands
You tend to believe too much of what you see and in your own mind over-hype the games O.C.
Take it all at "face value" and don't expect too much. Then when the game is great you're like WOW.
Personally I'm waiting for Nov. and the release of Watch Dogs 2 (this time in San Fran).

I do take it for face value what I see should be what I get. I enjoyed playing watchdogs. Part 2 I have not seen enough of so thanks for posting that video.

Re: Ghost recon wildlands
Just curious to see if anyone is still getting this? I wasn't going to preorder like 6 months ago, but as more info gets released and now that I've played some beta I'm glad that I did preorder. I played some co-op with Zak and Kenny last night and some solo today, and while both are run, co-op is definitely the route to go.

Re: Ghost recon wildlands
Glock and I played last night for a good 3 or 4 hours and had a blast in co-op. I need to work on my "stealth" skills and leave the COD run and gunning at home, but still really fun. definitely thinking about getting this game.

I had a good time with it, but need to know more about the end game content before I buy, particularly with Mass Effect coming.

Re: Ghost recon wildlands
miller - Currently the end-game is replaying the missions on a harder difficulty, kind of like new game + where the game steps up the difficulty to the next setting. If you're already playing on the hardest setting, I'm not sure how that's handled. Supposedly at some point there will be PvP, but the game isn't shipping with any and there hasn't been info on what that might look like.
OC - As I mentioned above, right now it looks like just story with solo or co-op, the game has the same feel as GR:FS, IMO. There is an open beta that's supposed to be starting 2/24 (two weeks from yesterday).

Re: Ghost recon wildlands
Thanks Puppet. I think that sucks no real end game you beat it and boom game over wait to pay for more in dlc. No pvp at the moment. How hard is it for them to just put in the old school ghost recon mp. Seriously I wouldn't care if they just included the graw 2 mp not even remaster. He'll make it backwards compatible. I'll play the open beta to at least check that out. From what I heard the enemies don't even scale to the number of players in co op.

https://www.vg247.com/2017/01/25/ghost-recon-wildlands-the-pros-and-cons-of-multiplayer-co-op/
Per VG 24/7 :
"Personally speaking, enthusiasm for Ghost Recon: Wildlands centres a lot on the theme of resourceful agents and the potential to shape missions in inventive new ways. One concern is that, unlike The Division, Destiny and to some extent the team-based efforts of Overwatch to gain EXP and improve ranking as a group, the take-away from Wildlands is much more traditional. Your reward is Mission Complete, since there is no loot system as such.
On the one hand this is good, since effort is put into acquiring and upgrading gear that suits a particular playstyle. But if the End Game is completing all the missions on Ghost difficulty, it may be hard to convince friends to pursue this without superior loot in prospect.
Ubisoft recently confirmed a PvP mode to be added after launch, but no details have been shared. Perhaps this will be the key to the game’s longevity owing to bragging rights of the top players, and a go-to destination for people looking to mix things up between grand-scale Battlefield, cat-and-mouse Call of Duty and the grindfests of Destiny and The Division."
