New Map Pack - June 2
That's right! Get the Vaseline ready and bend over because Activision is coming to town, and they want your money... again. Word has it that an all new map pack is scheduled for release on June 2. Details are scarce but here is what we know so far:
- It's called the "Resurgence" map pack
- It will have a Total of 5 maps (how many old vs new is still unknown)
- Release date is June 2
- 2 double XP weekends will surround the release (May 28 & June 4)
- Activision is evil
- Unconfirmed: Price will likely be $15

Not sure I am going to get this one. Seriously. I really don't like
Activision right now and I think what they did to IW is criminal. This
money will basically going to go right into the pockets of Activision
and NOT the people who actually made the game. It really pisses me off
and I hate the $15 price tag. I'll reserve my final decision once more
information is available.

Nice...we all knew it was inevitable that it was coming. I kind of wish it was more maps and less money but I will get it anyway.

BTW I found out something new today. I suffer from mapathy as I am sure there are some other sufferers here too.

Well I swore up and down that I would not get the last map pack and I did anyways. Big mistake totally not worth it. I too will not be getting this map pack and will try and stay true to my word on this one.

Re: New Map Pack - June 2
I personally thought the last map pack was good and the maps had quality to them. Still $15 is a son of a fail. I will still buy it, but I do agree with you Interseptor about Activsion's act toward IW is a crime. Unfortunately, I am Call of Duty freak, and can't resist buying the map pack.
Re: New Map Pack - June 2
Sweet $15 bucks is still kinda high , but worth it to me . The map rather good or not , still bring some new life back to the game. The way I see it I can spend $20 on some rum $15 on the map pack &0 on fri and sat night owning peeps with s7 and have a way better time then go n to the bar and spending $50 for one night , look foward to it and putting some points on the line. As far as activision vs iw , it sucks but I don't now those people and they're gonna get paid copyright/contract.

Hell yeah! Just warn me before you put points up for grabs so I can hold off on getting too hammered. By the end of that last tourny I was getting the wong-wongs.DROOPYmcC00L wrote:Sweet $15 bucks is still kinda high , but worth it to me . Re: New Map Pack - June 2
More details have emerged...
Set to release on June 3 on Xbox Live, the pack will be priced at 1200
($15) -- the same as its predecessor, the Stimulus Pack.
Resurgence will feature maps old and new, including two Call of Duty
4 maps and three new locations:
- Vacant -- the wide open Russian office complex from CoD4
- Strike -- the urban town surrounded by hotels from CoD4
- Carnival -- an abandoned carnival area with a Ferris wheel, fun
house and other attractions- Trailer Park -- full of "super tight corridors" and featuring a
pool ("Mobile Estates," Bowling calls it)- Fuel -- a "sniper haven" based in and around an oil refinery

Re: New Map Pack - June 2
Still on the fence. Frankly if it was 5 new maps it would be a much better deal. Unfortunately the fact that 2 of them are old (once again) and that they will be 100% exactly the same as their COD4 counterparts puts me off a little.
But I like new maps and like others have pointed out, $15 is not a lot of money so I still might pick it up. I guess it's just that I don't like the idea of spending $15 on a map pack. Not to mention, the dollar to value ratio seems like a rip off compared to other DLC's that have been released in the past.
I guess at the end of the day it's not about the money but the principal. I don't like what Activision is doing. I think they are ripping people off and paving the way for more and more expensive DLC. It may be time for me to move on. Time will tell I suppose.

Re: New Map Pack - June 2
I'll pony up and buy it. I tried to hold out on the last one, but with the amount we play this game there's really no point. I'll buy it eventually, so might as well do it early.

Re: New Map Pack - June 2
The more that we show them we're willing to pay 15 bucks the sooner it's going to be the regular standard I say wait till it goes down in price and stick it to them personally plus with so many games being released I;m cool I can wait I'll just play them till then plus with the GRAW beta coming soon who cares lol.
