Overwatch coming to consoles!!!

So excited for this one, it looks amazing! The last shooter I was heavily active in was TF2 (Orange Box) so it will nice to get back into a competitive game with you guys rather than hanging out in the social ones.

Not a single response? This game is incredible and could be such a great clan game for us! Played a tiny bit of the PC beta and it was so much fun, plus the general opinion seems to be overwhelmingly positive.

Open beta May 5th, release on May 24th!!!

This is one I plan on picking up. I originally planned on getting it for PC but am leaning toward console now.

That maybe but, the majority of us are long time console guys and have therefore never heard of this before and have no clue how great it can be.

It's a Blizzard game, so production quality is solid.

They are continuing their trend. Take a game from a genre, make a simple/fun, but blizzard version of it and let everyone enjoy.
Overwatch looks fun, and will have developer support for quite some time (unlike most games which get 6-12 months at best).

I'm a longtime console guy and haven't played PC for years outside of little bit here and there at friends' houses (my computer sucks for gaming and I prefer the couch and a controller). I just heard about it on all the gaming sites out there.

The game feels a lot like Team Fortress but with a ton more characters. Each hero is so unique that I feel like we could do some really complex strategies to work with each other's strengths and weaknesses. Not to mention that there doesn't seem to be too much in the pipelines for us besides the division (beta sucked) and possibly Doom if people get into the MP (I loved the alpha personally).

I really encourage people to read some previews and check out some gameplay footage because I'd love to see this game fully supported by us. It's been way too long since I got into a clan shooter since COD grew stale years ago.

Being by Blizzard it has me interested. I'm not sure on the style and balance of it all, so will have to give it a closer look during the beta.

From everything I've heard, gameplay is surprisingly very balanced despite the variety of classes. Plus it's Blizzard so you would expect constant tweaks to perfection.

i played the closed alpha was sadly very let down by it
so ill be passing on this

What did you not enjoy about it?

just the over all game play really nothing really had me going like OMG i need another fps

maybe things have changed since the alpha , just like with cods ill have to wait to see how many people will get it and play it longer then a month to see if its worth it .

My friend told me the alpha was a little slower and unbalanced, plus I heard something about gigantic hit boxes. I didn't notice any of that during the beta so maybe things did change a bit.

My biggest problem with FPS's lately is that they have become so generic to me. New CODs just feel like a more noob-friendly ADD version of COD4, SW Battlefront was such a huge disappointment to me, and I don't know why but I really couldn't get into Halo 5. Overwatch should be a return (at least to me) to some actual strategy in an FPS besides just run and gun and toss nades everywhere. Healers, tanks, snipers, stealth, turrets, mines, and ultimate attacks can make for some really great strats when coordinating our teams properly.

Not trying to sway you from playing anything else, but might I suggest you try again? This version is far and above better than anything you've seen before.
The stuff they are adding monthly (game modes, skins, armor, weapons, variants, maps, etc.) is incredible and will get you hooked again.

I have been actually thinking about it. Maybe I'll grab it when it drops to ~$25.

Launch Hype Bump!!!

Already DL'd and waiting to play it tonight at launch.

I think I'm going to wait for a price drop, but this was interesting info from the beta.

I enjoyed the beta but it didn't have enough to really keep my interest

It's like crack it's a nice change of pace from most shooters. Love this game and I love that Blizzard is going to do all DLC for free. More companies need to take this approach.

Props to Blizzard for the most amazing launch I have ever seen for an online game. I started off trying to launch the game right at the worldwide launch time (12am GMT, 6pm CST) and sure enough I had trouble signing in. I tried for several minutes with no luck and thought to myself "yep, typical online launch. Probably be a week till things settle down." At that point I decided to play some Dark Souls 3 for a little while and wait for things to settle down.

About 30 mins later Kenny decided to try the servers again and he got in. So I quickly hopped over and was able to sign in too. What followed was truly amazing. We continued to play with no lag, no drops and instant matchmaking all night long! No wait time, no ques. It was easily the best launch of a game I have ever seen, especially for a worldwide simultaneous launch. Props indeed.

Awesome stuff! I'll be picking it up soon, a bit busy this week anyway so no rush on it for me.

Same as Beta I guess.  All objective game modes. Attack/Defend points, Escort and single point domination. They seem to rotate randomly.

I think if it had more modes /a story co-op I could get into it more. I like the concept but not enough.

I'm a fan. It's a lot more similar to the 'big' games for MP today. League of Legends, CS:GO, Heroes of the Storm, TF2, etc.

Rather than a big package of story, zombies, etc. that will be recycled annually with new releases - it's setup to be a standalone game that can be played for years. It's got a lot of hype, and I imagine they'll continually re-balance and improve over time.

I agree but for the full price of a console game I could bring myself to buy it that's all I'm saying. 
Great concept fun game but not enough to keep my interest.
