pc video card

need to up grade my stock hp graphics card
not sure on how to tell what type i need(by that i mean will work with my pc)

i know right of that bat i want at least 1gb

Looks like a pretty good card to me, just make sure it fits. U might wanna check out sone hp forums and see what people have had the most luck with. Make sure you have a big enough power supply too. Nivida new technology physx is flippin sweet, seen on batman arkam asylum, google it
