Xbox Live having issues, hacker group claims responsibility for taking it offline

the title is waaay worse then what it was .
the only issue  we were having is   game chat failed  and  could not pull up friends list and this lasted for about an hour 
but im on right now with zero issue's everything is back to normal   
and game chat being down really was not an issue as we always use party chat heck i even loaded up skype on my xbox and was talking with glock on there ok

but still i always post when  something comes up  so here it is xbox was kind of hacked for an hour ( i say kind of because im in the  dashboard  preview program and  friends list not working is nothing new)

I imagine they've been DDoS'ing every various service XBL has until they found one near capacity or with older hardware. I imagine a company like MS will have upgraded in the next 4-5 days max to a better platform where it won't be an issue.

It was an issue last night where the friends list wouldn't work.  After resetting my box I couldn't get into online multiplayer at all.  Netflix also was offline through XBL, so I turned my box off for the night.  Not sure how long these issues lasted, but I gave it a go for roughly 30 minutes.

Wasn't aware of this at all. Was completely consumed with the Dolphins v Jets.
Otherwise, would have been angry and not knowing the reason for the outage.

ya it was only messing up for me for an hour    and about 30 mins after that  ign had psoted everything was back to normal
