Queen's Wrath is now open!

So the new "Queen's Wrath" addition just began! Besides some new items, missions, and bounties, the upper part of the tower just opened up too.

went and looked in the uper tower and all thats there is the queens rep vendor and  they sell blue crap  thats all kind of sad

That's a strange thing to add a couple weeks in.

The Upper Tower is for special events.  The Iron Banner bro sets up shop there too when that event is live.  Basically, if there is a special event going on, the upper tower is how you cash in on rewards and special purchases.  And remember, those items are only available for the event making them more rare than most of the other stuff in the game.

Is there Rep involved with buying stuff from the special vendor?  Coins?  Motes?

i understand  was just letting people know its just 1 rep vendor up there


and it takes rep rank and normal glimmer to buy stuff from her
and its Shaders  rank1 
           Emblems  rank 3
           Marks   rank 2
           Blue Weapons rank 2

thats its  no legendary weapons or armor 
the shaders emblems and marks are legendary's   but  was really Disappointed  that  this is what we get added to end game so far not a good first step

Its possible that the next time this event goes live people who did all the bounties during the last time (week) it was live can reach a level not possible in a single week of bounty completions. Then whatever level that is has the ability for high level purples and possibly exotics.

True.  Plus, I'm not sure this is intended for "End Game" per se.  This is a special event intended for everyone in the game to progress and complete.  The only End Game content right now would be the Raid, which was added a week after launch (and the Nightfall Weeklies to an extent).

And I know with the Iron Banner your progress is saved.  We had two Iron Banner events in the Beta.  I did not have enough to buy the special gear I wanted in the first go round but was able to pick up where I left off for the second so Panzer's theory is sound.  I assume the same is true for the Queen Wrath.

Also of note, the first DLC is supposed to be about the Queen and progress that story line so this might evolve into something more over time.

Was just coming here to post this.  If nothing else these will lead to ascendant shards, and that's never a bad thing.

like i said in my post and like it shows in the video the legendary are shaders emblems  and marks 
which in my mind is pointless (myself rather have gear that does something for me )

and i think all special events should be END GAME...  there is more then enough to do  from lvl 0-20  .



@husker  you got a point but i was looking for some cool loot   only thing that got me like meh about it all
guess ill just wait to the  coin vendor gets here again got 57 coins saved up   after blowing them all  on the weekend

Read the article too.  There is Legendary Gear available, just not for sale.  Their reporter got a Legendary Helmet and Chest piece from doing missions.

I'm not too worried about end game myself. It's going to take a lot of ascendant shards to max out my current legendaries. Then I need to build up my exotic weapons for all different elements.
Maxing my current equipment shouldn't take too long, getting the exotics will definitely be a process.

And in the end the only way to get to level 30 is by getting raid gear so while all this stuff is nice at some point we'll have to up our game a bit! 

A good explanation of what to do regarding the Queen's bounties...

When you turn in a Queen's Bounty, you get an item called Queen's Wrath, one per bounty turn-in. This enables you to start a Queen's Wrath Story Challenge from your list of Dailies/Weeklies at the Set Destination menu.

When you select a Queen's Wrath Story Challenge, you are automatically placed into a random Story Mission with the Epic modifier and two random modifiers on it.

Example: This morning it was Draksis (which I did three times), then it turned into Black Garden with Void and Juggler (did once). An hour ago it was Restoration (did once). Now it's randomly flipping to something different each time I enter Orbit (it just pulled Black Garden w/Void/Juggler on me again, and now it's Eye of a Gate Lord w/Solar/Juggler).

Upon completion of the Story Mission, a Queen's Wrath is removed from your inventory, and you are given rewards (either a Legendary Helmet or Chestpiece, rarely a weapon--I got a rare Sniper Rifle). If you have no Queen's Wrath in your inventory, you don't get the rewards.

You CAN join someone else's Queen's Wrath Story Mission to help them, but if you do not have a Queen's Wrath in your inventory, you do not get the rewards.

did the mission  again for the 3rd time finally got the helm    i do love ascendant shards XD   time to level up my helm  baby



and i still have 2 more queens wrath at 3  shards a pop sounds good

That's funny cause my only two exotic weapons are Shotty and Rockets.

Shotgun, sniper, rockets, or auto rifle - I'd be happy with any of these.

I would love an exotic auto rifle. One day... For now I keep getting legendary/exotic hand cannons for some reason.

Tip for when you get the Queen's story mission after you hand in the bounty...

If you get a random mission that you don't like you can go back to orbit and try again.  I just did it at lunch and in 30 minutes I was able to complete 2 bounties and 2 level 24 story missions by getting the "Restoration" mission.  

Ended up with the chest and the helmet along with a legendary glove that dropped while playing.  6-9 shards in a matter of 30 minutes, lol.
