Campaign
I think I'm the only PS4 player to finish the campaign, but I'm not positive.
Overall, my thoughts are that the campaign was worth a playthru. I finished it on Normal and had a decent amount of challenge (I don't usually have the patience to play harder settings). There's a choice at the end so I might replay the part where the choice comes in to see how the ending is different but aside from that I dunno if I'll go thru it again. I liked it more than most COD campaigns (didn't play like the last 3 or so) but I think liked the campaign for BF3 and GR:FS a little more than this one.
All things considered, if you haven't played or finished it yet, it's probably worth the time when you get a lull between games. It's not long (7 missions) so it shouldn't take a lot of time, especially if you're a good shot and you don't die.

I played it and finished it. It was ok and very short. Overall it was fun to play but nothing special.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. It was worth my time and just long enough that I didn't lose interest.S7 Interseptor wrote:I played it and finished it. It was ok and very short. Overall it was fun to play but nothing special.

Re: Campaign
I played through it on the hardest and got all the collectibles. It was OK, but I wouldn't put it on the same level as the CoDs. Battlefield's multiplayer doesn't translate well to SP.

Re: Campaign
See, I think BF campaigns have been better than COD campaigns. Like I said, I haven't played the last couple COD campaigns because I felt they weren't up to the same level as BF or GR:FS. However, to each his own. Ultimately, I like the GR:FS campaign the best because you got to customize your gear 100% for each mission and you weren't required to use set weapons or weapons with set attachments.S7 Coolhand wrote:I played through it on the hardest and got all the collectibles. Re: Campaign
I really can't even remember the plot of Future Soldier - it didn't make much of an impression on me. I'm not saying the CoDs are the best campaigns or anything, but Blops 1 and 2 were original and twisted. WAW was epic storming the Nazi HQ. MW 1 2 3 had memorable characters; voice of Jack Bauer yelling at me to take the hill at Que Son was memorable. Ghosts campaign was also a very original story and had many gameplay additions not seen before from zero G fighting in and around a space station, controlling a dog and ripping out throats, swimming and fighting, sneaking through waist deep water, etc. It would be tough for me to form an opinion had I not played them all. I'm looking forward to stopping Kevin Spacy in this next one.

I agree that I might have to at least rent the next COD to take down Spacey.

Re: Campaign
If you didn't play the First Black Ops campaign, you really missed out. One of the better FPS single player games in a while. While the other COD games may not have had the best storylines or campaigns, they do have memorable characters and events (who can forget the first time you pilot an AC130?). I didn't finish the Battlefield 4 campaign before I sent it back to GameFly, and need to re-rent it and give it a go again. But I loved the Battlefield Bad Company campaigns- you talk about memorable characters!

Re: Campaign
If I remember right Blops was the Vietnam campaign I really liked that one. The story was pretty solid and it had a different feel from most of the other ones. I liked WaW too, it's always a good time stomping the Nazis.

Re: Campaign
The only thing I never liked about the CoD campaigns were the constant switching of characters. I like one main character better. Otherwise the CoD stories were pretty good IMO. BF4 was OK, but too short and not deep enough for me. Halo, now there is a good SP campaign if you ask me.

Re: Campaign
After Halo 1 I'll agree that those campaigns were good. The original was like 8 missions, but they were like the same 4 maps going forward and then coming back thru. I know that's way overexaggerating but that's what it felt like to me.

Re: Campaign
Halo campaigns are on another planet from Battlefield, CoD, and GR. Literally.
For the time and on the original Xbox, Halo 1 was incredible.

Re: Campaign
I've always been the minority when it comes to Halo 1's campaign, because I just never really thought it was anything more than just a straight out painful grind.
