...um, not much detail in this little submission sir.
We could have used a bit more explanation. Also, not to challenge your ability since I know you're good at most every game, but does this mean the campaign is really short if you can run through that fast???

I will be savoring it, trying to make it last. I'm not sure what difficulty I will start on... maybe heroic and then do a legendary after, co-op on one or parts of each. Then I will be going through to do the "skulls" and achievements or whatever they have this time around.

There are terminals which unlock some pretty good waypoint videos which tie into the story. managed to get most of them on my first run. All in all I was very pleased with the campaign. Glad to see that 343 was up to the task of taking over halo.

So this is about on par with past Halo games for length. Can't wait to see for myself how the content does.

I was able to play though the campaign in about 6 hours on normal. Ill be trying to get a run through on legendary before I return it on Monday. Overall its a great campaign and if they make another game I wonder how the story line will evolve because of the events from this campaign being so big.

I finished it over the weekend and thought it was really good. At first I was kind of bored- rush here, more Covenant, same enemies and weapons, same way to take them out, etc.., but the more I played it and got into the story the better it got. The new enemies, the plot/reason behind the Covenant’s aiding the Prometheans, who/what the Prometheans and Forerunners were and their history- very cool stuff. Also it had a nice pacing of FPS and vehicle play so that neither had a chance to get stale. The game really built momentum and by the end it was really intense and exciting. I only had one problem, and that is:

I wasn't bothered by how the game ended. Many people were upset with the Guilty Spark boss fight in Halo 3 (I didn't mind because the true boss fight was driving the warthog to the ship), but I'm surprised to see the direction they took for the ending of Halo 4. Loved the story for this campaign though. It might just be may favorite of the series yet mainly because of how the story unfolds and Master Chief actually seems human in this compared to the other Halo games where he's more the silent hero.

Beat the campaign Empty Lengendary run

Post by S7 Zalacious Wed Nov 14, 2012 2:49 am

Just finished my solo legendary run tonight. Though not as tough as Halo 2, I would put Halo 4 somewhere on par with Reach or Halo 3 in terms of difficulty. The extra little bit at the very end was cool but was still a bit of a let down.

Having played through the game twice, I have to say that my concerns regarding 343's ability to carry the torch were unjustified. The story is compelling, there is honest emotion in many of the characters, and the tie ins to the books made me very happy. I was worried about the music by Neil Davidge but I found it very good and in some parts amazing. Though I do not think the overall quality was on par with Marty O'Donnel's work, I think the music did the job of supporting and enhancing what was transpiring in the game.

I eagerly await Halo 5 and I am curious as to what everyone has to say about the story one they have completed it.

P.S. The Mark IV armor is win.

Yeah, my first playthrough was solo legendary and it really wasn't too difficult. There were only a few parts that kept killing me. lol. One major problem I had was that I beat half the campaign on legendary, then played some war games, then the game glitched out and I restarted my Xbox, I finished the last half of the campaign on legendary and didn't get the achievement. I checked my missions and it showed that I didn't complete the first half of the campaign at all, but finished the last half. So I had to redo the first half again on legendary to get the achievement.
