You can only have one bracket in this group.  First game is Thursday so jump on it.

I'm sure the coach picked the best team he could. Donovan is getting older and sometimes the way a team can connect offensively is better than a single players raw ability.

On top of that, donovan has never been high enough caliber to change a game. Players like Drogba, Messi, Ronaldo, etc can catch fire or make amazing plays at any time to change a game. Donovan is good, but not that level. IMO

That's kinda what I was thinking.  I don't really follow soccer but if I remember right we haven't won an Olympic gold or a WC with him so maybe someone else can get it done.

I am 100% in support of Kinsmann's decision to exclude Donovan from the roster.  He did good things for US soccer, but he is not our best option.  It is time to move on.  The problem with putting him on the roster is that people would have thrown a fit if he didn't start or didn't play.  Best to leave him at home.

The squad looks better than ever.  Michael Bradley has been very creative lately, and Jozy is back in business.  This is the first time we have won all three of our warmup games.  Now it's time to get revenge on Ghana.

I went the opposite direction with a realist bracket.  I hope I am wrong.

It's just for fun so I saw no harm in it. My hope is that at least one of my 'dream' teams will make it deep.

Realistically I'd enjoy seeing either Brazil or Germany win it all. Both are very entertaining to watch.

They are definitely favorites.   I think they will meet in the semi final.
