PS4 Does Not Support External Hard Driv

PlayStation 4 will not allow users to use external hard drives, according to a Q&A on thePlayStation Blog. Storage on PS4s will be limited to the next-gen machine's 500GB. Even replacing the internal hard drive limits space -- installing another 9.5mm SATA II HDD is possible, but only so long as its space exceeds 160GB.
We've contacted Sony about how this will affect the transfer of data between PlayStation 4 systems.

The part I find interesting...

PS4 is equipped with a 5400 RPM SATA II hard drive. Users can choose to install a new hard drive so long as it complies with these standards, is no thicker than 9.5mm, and is larger than 160GB.

So does that mean it must be a 5400 RPM Sata II drive? No SSD's?

Seems kinda odd to have restrictions on that since the console is designed to have digital DL of games. Gonna need to be able to have tons more storage space to keep all your data over the lifetime of the console. Guess someone will have to figure out how to get around that.
