The sultan is a good car but Interseptor is right I'm not seeing it being the beast like it was in gta4. Just looking at the stats compared to others and it doesn't match up. The braking on the car is atrocious

I raced Z's last night at the airport.  His was highly modified with stage 3 engine, turbo etc... and I raced my Dominator (also highly modified but not quite as far as his car, stage 2, turbo etc...) and I was able to still pull on him in the straight.  But I drove his car after and I LOVE the way it handles and drifts.  And it is definitely plenty fast.  Gonna have to pick one up for sure.  Bad ass car.

Related:  The airport is a great place to test car against one another.  Once you get in there is no traffic and no automatic wanted level like in SP.  I plan to do further testing there in the future.  I want to see exactly what kind of benefits you get from upgrades.

Also, there is a C130 (Titan) there and technically, you can get 2 cars in the back.  Keeping them in there during take off is currently up for debate LOL!

So...do you have to "Buy" a garage to store cars....and once you have them are they always in the garage no matter where you leave them?

Yes, you have to buy either a garage or an apartment that has a garage associated with it.  Once a property is owned you can fill it with cars (2, 6 and 10 cars depending on the property).  Cars stored in the garage get an automatic GPS tracker placed on them and will show up in the world where ever you left it.  It will not disappear, unless destroyed.  Insurance on the car can be added at Los Santos Customs for any car you own and allows you to get back any car that is destroyed, effectively permanently making the cars yours. 

Benefits to owning a garage/apt is that you now also get a mechanic.  The mechanic auto repairs any car you drive into your garage for FREE.  He is also added to you contact list on the in game phone and will bring you your car anywhere on the map, anytime.  So if you are stuck without a car in the middle of the desert, call your mechanic, pick the car you want and 10 seconds later he will delivery your car in perfect condition.

Moral of the story is... Buy a property. Specifically at least a 6 car garage.

My next plan is to scratch together 25k to get the 2 car garage so I can get the storage, another car, and the mechanic.

Don't buy a property cheaper the 200,000 or else you can't plan heists which will be coming out later

This is true zak, but what if I'm not on

Once I get my hush money I'll purchase a place that will allow me to run heists.  After we jacked the Titans last night I finally got the money needed to buy one of the cheap 2 car places so now I can actually stop nickle and dimeing myself with repairs on my car.  I'm also looking forward to the curb side service when I need my ride.  I picked up a 4 door car that should be nice to upgrade and use as a getaway car, for when Zak isn't around to be wheelman.

It will be nice to get that money so that I can start to catch up with you guys.  I agree with Zak that people that were pretty much able to get online from the start shouldn't necessarily get a stimulus, but the fact that they're help those of us that got screwed is nice.  Obviously it doesn't level the playing field, but it should help out a ton.

I've been having a great time playing this game. Upgraded my car a bit and now just can't wait for that stimulus package so I can buy an apartment with a garage.  I'll be on tonight if any one is going to be on hit me up.

There's a 2 car garage place for like $25k by the Los Santos customs that's under the highway bridges on the east side of town.  I picked that one up so that I can have a place to store a second car.  I now have a sedan and a muscle car so I can actually have something to drive in races.  $25k isn't too much and really isn't a waste and since the fancy appts seem to be on the east side of town, I'll end up having places on both sides after I get my guvment check.

No you will not. Well at least for now you can only own one property at a time. But you can seel the cheap one when you buy a good one.

Good to know.  Either way, I have a cheap place for now and I can sell it like you suggest at a later time.  Hopefully I'll still be able to keep both my cars when I sell the 2 car to get the larger garage.  Guess we'll see.

Man im loving this game right now. There's so much to do who wants to play a round of golf sometime?? Lol

If Darkhorse isn't on, i finally got enough to buy the 200k place. We could always do heists there as well. Finally got my garage filled (minus one muscle i'd like to find) and all cars with the same color scheme. Took some time but i think it looks clean. Anyone is welcome to check it out. And once people start buying houses i'd like to check out theirs as well.

Never thought about using the same color scheme for all my vehicles.  Might have to do that after I get my guvment check and can buy a good appt and some cars.  I'll have to check your place out sometime when we're on together.
