Xbox One launches November 22nd

Was hoping for a bit earlier, but at least we finally know.  It's a Friday so it looks like it's a 3 day weekend for me.  

Interesting.  Might be a three day weekend for me as well.

Yay! Can't wait to get mine.

On a side note this launch is the 8year anniversary of the 360 launch. We should have been able to peg that date.

d@mn, I wish I had the money to spot you!  Sucks to have to miss out just because you're a little short on cash.  

Yup but no big ill pick it up eventually and enjoy some games in the 360 in the mean time. Ill be on and hit up some cross chat features to keep up with every one.

Unfortunately that's not happening.

Marc Whitten, has confirmed that cross-platform voice chat will not be available:
"For a variety of technical reasons - including the sound quality that I talked about above - we don't support voice chat between the two systems."

Cross chat?  Between the XB1 and 360?

EDIT:  Ahh, that sucks.  OC got my hopes up.

True, I had forgot about that.  Skype will be the best way for me to keep up with you guys.  Skype FTW!

I'm excited about skype. Can finally chat with my xbox friends while on PC.

agreed with that also if were in matchmaking i dont have to have my pc on to do other stuff as we wait

finally a date... but sadly it doesn't matter to me, as I don't plan on getting a XB1 until titanfall or destiney comes out the only game that really slightly intrests me at launch is watch dogs and it kinda looks GTA to me which is meh

This is why I'm on the fence about it.  It looks good and all but I don't know if it's going to have enough to separate it from other open world games like it.  I'll probably Gamefly it and see how it goes.

I really don't think I like that date. It's a week before Black Friday, and many places have been known to hold back hot items so they can advertise their availability on Black Friday. That could hold any extra shipments back in the storeroom, so you will have to hit the crowds to get a chance at one if you didn't pre-order. For people like us it's fine, as we all preorder, but for everyone else this could be a headache.

Still, I' happy to have a date, and better yet I am scheduled to be on vacation the entire next week for Thanksgiving!

My baby's due date is like a week before the launch
I all deff be buying it at launch but I will have like one game bf4 and obviously will only be on when the baby is sleeping

Hmm, 11/22. Sounds like a good day to get back to gaming to me. Just got a call from my local GameStop, I'll swing in to put my money down tomorrow.

Having had 2 babies over the past few years: Complain a little bit, but offer to do the late night feeds. You're too tired to care about changing diapers, and by the time you're awake you just need to hold them and can play single player games all night. Aaaand the wife gets to sleep through the night.
You might get a little sleep deprived but:
-The wife will be happy that you're doing that 'for her'
- You'll get to game more
- People at work will go "ahh, that's so sweet he was up all night with his kid"

= win
