Magic 2014

Magic 2014 was announced to release later this year, and with it "deck building". Although its sealed pack rules really, but it's still a feature I've been waiting for in the series.

I'm sure I'll get this too, and they are normally cheap for XBL titles. I didn't play 2013 as much as the other two, but I still unlocked all the black cards. Deck building will be cool.

Finally deck building! Sealed pack rules makes sense to avoid ridonkulous builds.

Might have to get this one. Had 2012 on steam and skipped 2013. Was a fun game to play with friends.

2014 comes out Wednesday according to some sites, like Steam's pre order. June 26th.

I played the free trial and I have to say it was pretty cool! They even let you try the deck building and sealed play in the demo. Y'all should try it out. It's only 800 msp, i'll prolly get the full version soon.

I will probably get sucked into buying this one too, as I have got them all so far. They are fun diversions, and at 800 points I'm sure it's worth it.

First one I have picked up but I am already sucked in.  Great game.  Brings back good memories of old school Magic.

I had 2013 but never anyone to play with, I might snag this one too.

Fun game. Terrible UI. Building a deck is fun. And Kenny's Black and Blue deck is OP.

I have it and it's pretty fun.  I've played some matches with Evol Recovery aka Wedge.  The game has been glitching on me recently though.  It will sometimes be stuck on someone's turn unless they leave the game.

It seems like everyone just plays Illusions, Zombies, or Humans. Getting a little old. They need to release a new deck expansion already lol.

Do you play Sealed Deck or just with the premades. I've faced a varied amount of decks in Sealed. And personally find it more fun in general since you don't exactly know what you're facing by just seeing a few cards.

I made a deck but my first slot got some bad pulls from the boosters. I will eventually play more of it tho.

Might have to pick this up. It's been like 4 years since I played this on the Xbox, but I had a good time when I did.

Picked it up right off. Finished regular and revenge campaigns. Finished a sealed and started a second but got awful cards this time. Finished almost every challenge. The last one has me stumped. Overall I though the challenges were much easier this time around.

Wow- 4 1/2 stars.

I played this quite a bit this weekend, and finished all the single player stuff besides the challenges. I'm not such a fan of these decks as those previous, as I like the Black, Red-Black, and Green-Black decks, and the Black cards here are weak. Mainly Zombie cards, which are little different from any other army building cards for other colors. Still, a fun game and always enjoyable learning new decks and stratigies. Also, I can't draw any good cards for my sealed decks. One is completely worthless, and the other is mildly passable.

I believe you can delete a sealed deck campaign and start over.  Once you have a good one you can bring that into online, which is pretty cool.

While in college I once had a neighbor kid who wouldn't shut up about it so I went and bought $25 worth of cards and whipped his ass many times.  He used to say the cards have more abilities than those written on them and you have to watch the cartoon to know that.  I lawled.

Coolhand I am pretty sure you can't. Wizards said that the cards you get are based on your gamertag so if you delete your deck or just reset before it saves you will get the same cards again.

Yeah I was mistaken.   You cant delete a deck entirely, but you can buy additional deck slots for 160 ms per.  I bought one extra and have already completed all three.  I like my 3rd one best using red and green.  I found myself switching up my deck colors as I got different stuff from boosters and depending on who my opponent was.

Next time I would like to see more boosters to make a bigger library to build a deck.  This still felt limited, but I really enjoyed it.
