MLB 2k13 is a go?

Looks like there is going to be an MLB 2k13. I've glanced thru some articles and posted them up. Sounds like it might just be MLB 2k12 with updated rosters and new cover. Even that though would probably be better than The Show.

Glad to see there will be an MLB game for the Xbox. Would be nice if it sells cheaper than $60. Since it will be a new roster and new cover with no real updates.

So...I went out and bought the PS3 for what again?
Now I'm more angry than if they told me it wasn't coming. I had accepted that and moved on. Now I have a PS3 with a five game bundle just waiting for "The Show" to hit shelves. THEN they tell me oh yeah, BTW, MLB2K13 is coming back.

What is this new devilry?

At least you have the best BluRay player on the market. Just get an USB IR dongle so you can use your universal remote to control it.

I'm sure that works fine, but I went much cheaper and it works with my Logitech universal remote. More like this:

All you need is the Dongle if you have a universal remote.

Well, I've already purchased the PS3. I'm in a bind now.
I REALLY like 2K eventhough they get bashed alot from the gaming community. The NBA2k games are amazing. If they put that level of attention into baseball they'd blow The Show out of the water. I may actually get both. I need to get The Show now since I bought the PS3 just for that one game (or sell it), but I really like the 2K series and think it's better sorry.

Cool, we can get some games in, if you'd like. I'm definitely picking up this years edition of "The Show".

Nba2k 13 is a good game if you like basketball

yeah I do. I have NBA2k 11 (I think I did) and NBA2k 12 so I guess this is a good deal.
Plus this makes the MLB roster update only cost $40 instead of paying the full $60. I do hope they throw in a few "cosmetic" changes like the score banner or something to at least make me feel like I'm playing a new game.

Has anyone picked this up yet? I hope to get it from game fly as money is tight right now and I will not be buying games any time soon.

Unfortunately OC I have a friend with it and as suspected it's a roster update. There are a few small details changed like the uniform colors are more pronounced and they placed the Astros in the correct division, the baseball gives more bounce once it hits the outfield grass, the players don't do the pause then throw animation which allows an opposition XBH, etc. but mainly it's the same d@mn thing. The music and background pictures were changed (players still have the wrong caps ), a few extra lines were recorded for commentary, but the menus are the same and nothing really changed under the hood. They removed online leagues too. If you placed two TVs beside each other and run MLB 2K12 and the other with MLB 2K13 you can't tell the difference...honestly. NOT WORTH $60!

I'm seriously both disappointed and angry. I bought the Show mainly because I couldn't justifiy buying the PS3 a few months ago and then NOT getting the game. The show is BEAUTIFUL...I mean breath-takingly beautiful but alas not really giving me the "baseball fan" experience. I equate this to almost an arcade type game. The pitcher/batter feel is not there, the crowd and player movements and atmosphere is ridiculous (like a live game) but the game itself the actual hitting, fielding, catching, pitching, base running and boring commentary is lacking to say the least.

I'm thinking about getting MLB2K13 anyway, but will most likely wait for a price decrease and then only once I can't take it any longer playing the Show.

Klown, what you describe about The Show is what I've pretty much heard about it, a pretty face with nothing under the hood. As for MLB 2k13, why should they really change much? They have no real competition and if it ain't broke don't fix it. I understand there's a couple hiccups you mentioned but with nobody putting a fire to their ass they have no motivation to do anything fast.

Yeah I have heard the same about 2k but last years game was not bad. The show has always been easy on the eyes but not much for me mechanics and sim baseball. I am still hoping to at least game fly 2k

The dev team of the show and the dev team of MLB2K should be locked in a room and forced to play nice together by mommy (MLB).

The game that comes out would win 10/10 in every catergory.
