Yeah, probably one of the coolest features I've seen on it. I'm still holding out for the Lumia 920 myself but since I have a samsung tv already the s3 is pretty tempting.

Why do I need to stream 1080p video FROM my phone? My TV can grab media from anywhere on my network.

Why do you need to stream from your network when you could just put a DVD in? Or why use a DVD when you have perfectly good VHS tapes?

You shouldn't have to go from PC to Phone unless you're using the original ipod Vido or a Zune... in which case that is not a smartphone, let alone an s3 at all.
And in reality, the phone is easier. Your setup sounds like mine, super easy to stream videos to any of my TVs because I have everything setup and ready to go. Being able to stream to any compatible tv on the same network is definitely pretty cool.

Well, the only use case I can think of for using the video streaming would be to do so at a friends house or basically anywhere you aren't able to stream your media directly from your collection. In which case, you'll not be able to stream through the phone, you'll need to have a local copy on your phone, no?
