Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is shipping to me today (from GF). Anyone else looking at getting this? I have been following this for a while and I am pretty excited to get it.

I really would like to get into this. I'll have to see how things go with having time to play. Post up if it's worth buying or not.

diddo. It took them 4 years to make, I wasn't that excited about it until I watched some videos this weekend and it looks pretty sick, i just hope its not a brinktastrophe.S7 Interseptor wrote:Deus Ex: Human Revolution is shipping to me today (from GF).

Me too. I have high hopes but low expectations. I'll let you guys know what I think as soon as I get to play it a bit.

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Well, apparently the review embargo has been lifted and things are looking good...
4.5 - Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/22/deus-ex-human-revolution-review/)
9.0 - IGN.com (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/118/1189591p1.html)
Looks like I will be pleasantly surprised. It always lookded good but I was afraid it was going to be another Brink (looked great but was really sub-par). Very pleased to see such good reviews.

I have had it on the top of my GF list for a while and no games out but they have not sent me the game yet so I may miss this one.

Bought it yesterday and I have to say it is a very good game. Very good production values all around and the game play is excellent. Better than Mass Effect imo.

My brief review
Beat the game and watched all four endings (save before you may make your final decision). I must say I really enjoyed the game. Makes me want to go back and play the last 2 games to tie everything together.
Sadly, I will probably be trading the game back in do get some extra credit for future releases. Unless someone wants to make an offer for a Augmented Edition....
In any case, I highly recommend the game. Total game time on default difficulty while doing just about all the side quests took about 20-25 hours or so. If anything, rent it. You will not regret.
Also- Get your hacking up to lvl 5 asap. Makes getting to secrets and whatnot a whole lot easier.
P.S. Video was hilarious

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Finally finished the game last weekend and I must say that this was a great game. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing from start to finish and definitely one of the best games so far this year. Great story, cool atmosphere, large sprawling levels and about 50 ways to complete each mission. Stealth, action and strategy all come to play here in one great package. You really get to play as you want to play. Although I must admit straight up shooter would be hard to due lack of ammo. Still it was a great trip. It took me an estimated 35 hours to play through once. No hints, strats or walkthroughs just exploring everything. I am sure you could get it done in about 20-25 if you were rushing it (but why would you?). It's a decent chunk of time either way and very enjoyable. Aside from the fact that you can NOT tear down chain link fences, it is a very solid well made and fun game to play.

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Maybe I'll look into getting this for xmas or when the price drops. I'm really interested in it but since I just dropped almost $200 on MW3 and Forza 4 and those will be coming out soon (and there's Gears 3), I don't think I can afford to put the time or money into it right now.
