Pre-Season Breakout Tourney?

I am looking to put together our first Tourney of Forza 4. But before we get into an official Season I thought that it might be fun to have a little Pre-Season Breakout Tourney and I wanted to get some ideas. So what would you like to see? 1 Class? Multiple Classes? Stock setting for the cars? etc... Keep in mind that we want to be fair to everybody who wants to join us so the less we have to do to prepare the better. Throw out some ideas and see what happens.

Some of my thoughts were to do only new tracks, with cars from the stocks garage. It would be fun and you could just show up to race. Plus the Forza vets would be as unfamiliar with the tracks as everybody else. Not to mention no advantage of better tuning. Just a good old fashioned good time getting to know Forza 4.

I wouldn't mind picking a random car from the Club Garage and then a random track... no planning and no tweaking. We could do this for like 5-7 races so it would be just as long as a standard tourney but it would give zero advantage to anyone.

Stock cars with new tracks sounds good. What where your thoughts as far as date and time?

I think it's a great idea Zak. I like racing the new tracks and I think we should race stock built/tuned cars. Should be a lot of fun. When you guys say stock cars I hope you're not thinking NASCAR stock cars, but stock meaning factory.

Yeah, factory spec cars and new tracks. Then some football after.

Sounds good to me. Every Thursday is Forza day. Unless we have to change for some reason. But for now let's do it!

I'm up for either idea. I think both of them will make it hard for people to "practice." Let's try not to do this the week starting Sunday October 30th, because I have a really screwed up schedule at work. We have to turn over all of our store displays to Christmas and I have a concert I'm attending one of the nights, so if the tourney is that week I'm most likely going to be a no show.

That would probably work for me. Right now we get our weekly warehouse deliveries on Thursdays so I work almost every Thursday morning. I'd be good with that date.

We would not do a Tourney every Thursday. Just get together every Thursday. Tourneys would still be every two weeks. But this way if you online Thursday, you know people will be playing Forza.

Thursdays aren't good for me unfortunately til Xmas at least. I am off tue and wed nights

I think a stock car tourney would be great. I say no tuning or anything.

As for a night let's just pick one. It isn't going to be the only night people are on so shouldn't really matter what day it is.
