Crysis 2 Breakout Tourney

Welcome to the first official Tourney for Crysis 2! Better start grinding those levels and unlocking those perks because the Breakout Tourney is coming in just one week! That's right, our first official Tourney is coming next Wednesday (4/13/11) during our normal Game Night. It's gonna be a blast so don't miss out. Here are the basic details...

Date: April 13, 2011
Time: 8-10pm eastern
Mode: Instant Action (TDM)
Maps: Random
Perks: Allowed
Settings: Standard game settings
Teams: Random (4v4 and up)
Prizes: Official Tourney Trophy, $20 MS Points Card

This will be a Team Instant Action Tourney (Team Deathmatch). Teams will be randomly selected based off of who shows up but I am looking for at least 4v4, 5v5 or 6v6. Ideally it will be double elimination bracket style, but be might go with Round Robin or even Best of Five style matches. It will really depend on who all shows up. The bottom line is that we are gonna have fun and crown the first ever champs of Crysis 2. Good friends, good times and prizes, who could ask for more? Be there!!!

I think that I forgot to mention that Sticky isn't allowed to use anything but melee, and has to play upside down, with only one hand.

Sorry, I really didn't have the energy to do a big write up last night. So without further ado, here are the official results...

Crysis 2 Breakout Tourney Results:

WE had a great time last night. Turnout was about as expected. We had 8 ready to go and 2 show up a little late. Unfortunately we could add not Atrum or Macamp (the late showers)as we were getting ready to launch but thanks for showing up guys. The Official teams looked like this:

We played Clan Match style in a competition of Best of 7. And in ture Charlie Sheen fashion, Team WNNG was doing anything but. We pretty much got stomped all night. Zalacious and his crew were pretty much unstoppable. They played well as a team. They stuck together and ganged up on us at every encounter. WNNG was also playing a good game. We had good communication and team work but we just weren't able to stop them. We ended up playing 5 maps and the final score was 4-1 in favor of Team 1. Good job guys and Congratz!!! The Map choices looked like this:

Sanctuary - Win for Team 1
Evac - Win for Team 1
Statue - Win for Team WNNG
Wall Street - Win for Team 1
Parking Deck - Win for Team 1

Despite not being a very close match, we all had a lot for fun. It was great to get together with the S7 guys and hold a true competition. Thanks again for all that showed up. It was a great Tourney. The winning team will each receive a custom made Trophy with their name on it and one lucky member won the grand prize which was a $20 MS Point Card. The card was given away at random to a member of the winning team. The lucky winner was... Coolhand! Congratz man!!!

Thanks Interseptor, Zalacious, and Sticky for hosting a very fun tourny and for the prize! I've been on the winning tourny team before a few times but this is my first time netting the big prize. It's been a good week for me so far, minus going out on poker too early Saturday night. Now, its time to take the podium in Forza!
Also, thanks Zal for carrying our team - you were like an invisible tank crushing everyone. And thanks Dovahkin and Middy - I felt like we had some good team work and kept ourselves (and each other) from giving up too many easy kills. Finally thanks to team Winning, we couldn't have done it without you

Had a great time. Would like to thank all that participated. Big shout out to team one for sticking together, having good communication, and staying level headed throughout the match.

I am glad everyone enjoyed themselves and I look forward to next time. Am I banned from hosting now?....... lol.
